The middle-aged woman who was trying to serve me the wine was snarling with so much hate glowing in her hazel eyes.

I froze in my place as she growled keeping her eyes fixed on me, her canines started growing and her body started shaking.

My breath got stuck in my throat the moment she threw a sharp knife that was already in her hand towards me with so much force that it looked blurry.

I closed my eyes as my body refused to move.

There were gasps in the room.

But when I did not feel any pain, I opened my eyes only to witness Damien standing in front of me. 

He was shaking with anger and even though I could not see his face, the expression of fear on that woman's face told me everything.

The woman looked like she had seen a ghost, her eyes were no longer glowing.

The knife flew back hitting the woman just over the heart. She screamed loudly, "Mercy, I will never do any such thing again."
