Chapter 6: The Luscious Mangoes

"Wooo!" a surprised tap on her shoulders and an abrupt deep pitch almost made Samantha fall on the pool.

"Ahh!" when she turned around, she saw her neighbor Jaden who went to visit his mom in the mansion grinning from ear to ear.

"Jaden, don't ever do that again!" she frowned at her with the same age friend at once.

"Why are you the one cleaning the pool?" Jaden snorted instead as he took the deep skimmer net from her.

"Give me that. Nobody told me to clean the pool. I just want to help my dad!" she was trying to reach the stick but Jaden raised it higher.

"Let me do it. You can't swim. What if you accidentally tripped and fell!" Jaden sternly uttered.

With furrowed eyebrows, he scooped the fallen leaves into the water.

Samantha was just watching him. She sat on one of the sun lounges and rested her chin on her palms while her elbows nestled on her lap.

"By the way, I brought you your favorite carabao mangoes. They're on your bed!" without looking at her, he gestured his head to the servants' quarters that were located a little far from the pool.

"Really? Thanks!" Samantha gleamed in delight.

She loved mangoes but her favorite was the sweet yellow ones from the tropical lands.

"Why are you sitting on the lounge? Who gave you the authority to sit there?" when a domineering voice suddenly sprang behind them.

As they turned around, they saw a grim look of her annoying Young Master standing lordly on the door frame.

Samantha stood up right away. She also wiped the lounge cover with her hands like some dirt was left on it. Jaden frowned at her action that he gently put the skimmer net on the tiled floor.

"Who are you?" Albert shifted his annoying glance at Jaden who was also staring at him. Sizing each other up who was better, who was stronger, and probably who was more good-looking.

When Jaden's mom came rushing and took her son's hand. Samantha was also stunned.

What did they do wrong this time? Why was Gloria rushing in terrified and couldn't look Albert in the eye?

"Young Master, I apologize. This is my son and he just visited me here," she even bowed in a 70-degree.

"Samantha, come here now!" Gloria also called her but even before she could move, Albert's condescending voice startled them again.

"She's staying here. Don't bring any strangers into the mansion next time!"

They were flabbergasted. Sam was staying and Jaden was a stranger. The ten-year-old boy had already a bad impression of him on their first meeting.

"Yes, Young Master!" Gloria had no choice but to obey even if Jaden was hesitant to leave Samantha behind.

He could see that she was abashed and at the same time...petrified!

When Gloria closed the sliding glass door, Albert turned around. This twelve years old boy scanned Samantha like she was his prey. He moved closer steps that were more like creep eyes like needles in sharp jawline as hard as a rock. Physically fit physique of a sports enthusiast well-fed body of a wealthy heir arrogant and aloof aura; Samantha moved backward.

"Do not bring your male friend in the pool next time!" he stressed out those words as he pinched her chin.

"I did not! He came here... while I was cleaning the pool!" Samantha was stammering. Her eyes also flickered.

Albert noticed she was trembling. He calmed his face a slight. He took a deep sigh and sat on the lounge. Samantha was just bowing her head waiting for his command.

"Bring me mango juice here!" he suddenly ordered.

"Young Master, we don't have mango juice in the refrigerator. I checked it a while ago!" she anxiously uttered.

"What do you mean we don't have. Blend some!" Albert's patience was wearing thin. He loured at her as he lifted his body while sitting.

"How? We don't have mango fruits~" she was confused.

Was she going to buy some in the supermarket now? It's in the middle of the afternoon and it was scorching hot!

"Are you sure we don't have? If I found a single mango fruit anywhere in the mansion including the servants' quarter, I will punish you!"

He was now standing up while looking down at her. He pressed the words 'servants' quarter' like a clue in a puzzle or a sign in a treasure hunt. Then she remembered...

She sulked right away!

Those are mine she thought.

When Albert saw her expression had changed, he curled up the corner of his lips and lay down on the couch again.

"Hurry up! I will count till ten!" Albert exclaimed with his eyes closed.

Samantha marched in heavy steps out of the pool. She went to her room and saw luscious yellow mangoes on her bed.

She took two and left the three on the table. Striding spiritless going towards the kitchen, she bumped into Jaden again.

"Where are you going?" he asked displaying a worrisome look.

"Blend these!" she coldly replied.

"Ah! Let me help you. I will do it!" Jaden smiled.

The little boy thought she was preparing two glasses of fresh mango juice for both of them. Samantha who became absent-minded because of the constant yelling she received from Albert at that time, gave the mangoes unintentionally.

After a few minutes, Jaden gave her a glass of fresh cold mango juice while drinking the other glass. It's her favorite. The solid shade of yellow mixed with the sweet smell of the blended fruit. She felt euphoric that she forgot the purpose of blending some of these fruits.

"Where is my juice? What took you so long?"

Again, the roaring annoying lion barged in. But scarier this time. Both Samantha and Albert seemed to have seen a ghost when they saw a 'horrible' scene. Jaden was plain calm enjoying the sweet juice in his hand.

"My juice!"

"His juice!"

They both uttered inwardly with eyes and mouths wide open. Jaden who had no clue of what was going on even slurped the juice like it would be his last drink.

Albert gasped in anger as he gave Samantha his warning look before he stormed out. She twitched her lips and shut her eyes while hitting her head with her palm.

"St*pid!"

"Why are you hitting yourself? Don't tell me even drinking juice here is not allowed. What kind of household is this?" Jaden narrowed his eyes.

Samantha ignored his words and strode out of the kitchen.

"Sam, where are you going?" Jaden exclaimed while he followed her with his confused glance.

Inside his room, Albert was sulking like a kindergarten kid. He thought he would have a productive gripping weekend with her.

"You're too much!" he was scolding Samantha in his heart. He covered himself with a duvet while recalling how the young girl ruined his day.

A while ago, he was fascinatingly staring at her cleaning the pool in his grand piano located below the grand staircase. Their windows were from floor to ceiling glass and the terrific view in the lap pool was evident to everyone's eyes.

Till his beaming orbs squinted and his lips narrowed. Who the h*ck barged into his breathtaking view? The culprit was not even satisfied that he brought her best-loved fruits which made his favorite subject glimmer in joy.

He thought he could get rid of that annoying innocent sweet luscious by crushing it to pieces and gulping it in one go.

His anger enraged more when he saw the two look like a sweet young couple dating in the kitchen forgetting they were still kids.

"I will make you pay for this?" he murmured as he kicked his bedspread.

When a continuous knock on his door muddled his already messy thoughts.

"Young Master, it's me. Can I come in?" it was his little kitten.

"Open it!" he sat straight and leaned on the headboard stiff look plastered on his attractive face.

Samantha slowly opened the solid-core door. Carrying the three left mangoes she placed on a tray in her hand, she gently put them on the side table.

"These are the remaining mangoes I have. You can have them!" soft apologetic meek and almost a whisper, she told her Young Master with a scarlet red face.

Albert was rendered speechless!
