Chapter 11: The Prince Charming

She had been staring at the ceiling for how long she couldn't remember. She had been counting numbers in her mind and now she had reached a thousand.

Still... her light brown eyes were wide open.

"Just tell me. I can lend you money. We are bestfriends!"

Indeed, they were bestfriends since they were ten and that was blocking her to ask for anything. She didn't want any material stuff to go between them.

"No! Not your suggestion, best!" she murmured.

She slowly got up and stealthily crept towards the kitchen to drink some water. The ice-cold taste of the mineral water she got hold of from the fridge refreshed her messy thoughts.

"It's half-past twelve. What are you still doing here?"

A deep cold voice made her jump to her feet, caused her to choke and cough violently, and drenched the front cover of her white cotton shirt making her black brasserie visible to anyone's eye.
