Chapter 2

Ariana's POV

Samuel is a laid-back and playful guy. Utterly opposite his exterior, which makes him look more like an intimidating gang leader than a doctor.

However, the seriousness behind his eyes gives me an impression he has an aggressive side too.

After bandaging my arm, he volunteered to help me with arranging my stuff. Thanks to his help, all the boxes are already in their respective rooms after the movers have placed the boxes inside the apartment.

"I will just go and bring glasses from my apartment." He places the takeout on the coffee table and goes to his apartment. Since the set of glasses has been broken by me and I have yet to unpack the kitchen stuff, he brought two glasses from his apartment.

He also brings his laptop with him, which causes me to arch an eyebrow at him questioningly.

"I thought we could watch some movie while eating." He gives me a crooked smile.

"Next time, we will also order some dessert." He wipes the side of his mouth with a napkin, keeping the empty container on the table when we have finished eating, "I have ice cream in my fridge, but I am craving for some real dessert."

"What makes you think we are going to do this mini-party again?" I narrow my eyes playfully at him.

"Ouch!" He raises both of his eyebrows, "You hurt me, Kitty. I thought it's just the beginning of our mini-parties." He feigns hurt.

I roll my eyes at his given nickname. When he was helping me with my stuff, he found my old Hello Kitty t-shirt in one of the boxes. Since then, he started calling me Kitty.

"So, what do you do?" He asks, putting away all the empty containers in the makeshift trash bag.

"Wait." Raising my index finger, I signal him to wait as I pause the movie on his laptop.

Opening a new tab, I type a website address and turn the laptop towards him so he can see the screen.

"Artistry?" He raises an eyebrow, taking the laptop in his hand as he scrolls through the homepage of, Artistry, my art gallery, "You run an art gallery?"

"Yes, but foremost I am an artist." I nod.

"Wow! This is impressive." He goes through the gallery displaying the pictures of some of the previous art exhibitions.

"When did you realize your love for art?" He curiously asks.

"I got this from my dad. Dad was an amazing painter, and then he opened this art gallery. Because he wanted to support art in any way he could, he gave new and young artists opportunities to display their work." I smile, thinking about my dad and the beautiful memories which we have shared.

"Sometimes, I miss him so much." My smile falters a little as even though it has been three years since he died, it still hurts to talk about him.

He puts his hand on mine, giving it a little squeeze.

"Okay, so tell me about yourself." Twisting my body, I tuck one leg under the other as I sit facing him on the couch.

"Well, there is nothing much to tell." He shrugs lightly, "As you know, I am a doctor, and sometimes I rescue girls who fall on the floor and injure themselves." He smirks.

"Momsis!"
