Chapter 95 : Blunder

I wake up after the alarm goes off. Last night, I took painkillers before going to bed. It has been a routine. I keep suffering major headaches every day. And I'm definitely not neglecting that. I did some tests yesterday to make sure I'm physically fine. The reports were fine. Lack of sleep and stress— that's what the doctor said.

I got some sleeping pills in case I need them. They are definitely not prescribed. I'm not planning to have them daily so that doesn't bother me.

I roll over the bed, getting stricken by reality. The test results will arrive this afternoon. The thought itself gives a rise to anxiety inside me. I get up, lay half against the pillow and take my phone to check the schedule for today. Nicole is yet to mail me.

Meanwhile, I hear the cracking sound of the door and look up. Ivanna walks into the room. She's perfectly dressed for the day after dropping Chrissie off at school.
