Chapter 98 : Apology

I decrease the gap between us and hug her as tightly as I can. Right at this moment, I don't find any words to utter but hug her to deliver everything I'm feeling right now.

She's silent but her heavy breaths are telling me that she's holding her tears back.

"Don't cry, please. Not again", I groan, brushing my face against her soft wet hair. "You cried enough"

"And you don't care", she lets out a soft sob, making me hug her more tightly.

"I do. I fucking do, Iv. You know that. I care about everything revolving around you", I oppose. Her sobs don't lessen and I feel her body shivering against mine.

Her body is freezing cold as if she has been in the shower for a long time.

"You don't", she seethes. "If you cared, you never left me crying"

It stings. I know I shouldn't have done that. I could do it in another way but I made her feel unimportant at a moment when I should have treated her better. She was already going through the lie I told her last night.

"I'm sorry, baby.
