When Hayley got home, she ignored her adopted parents, not believing that they would lie to her.

She made sure to lock her room door behind her, took an empty duffle bag from under her bed and start stuffing her things in it.

She made up her mind once and for all that this is the day, or night, she would leave the Wolfgang pack.

If they could hide who she was from her, then they won't miss her as much. She knew they know about her past, where she came from, but refused to tell her.

Hayley paused to look at herself in the mirror.

She scoffed, then turned away from it.

Hayley dropped her bag first, then jumped down from her window, landing badly on her ankle.

She bit her tongue to not cry out in pain and sat on the cold ground for a while before getting up.

She shouldered the bag and hurried to the forest, looking behind her with every chance she got to make sure no one saw her or was following her.
