Chapter 1

Prologue

The Alpha has an audience as she gives birth to a baby that smiles instead of cry. Her green eyes shine bright, never burning red, like it should. Which means she has no wolf, unusual to their kind.

"This is what happens when a female is Alpha. She bores a wofless child, who is of no use to us." Someone said, sparking murmurs all around the room.

The news quickly spread throughout the pack, causing an uproar, with them asking for the Alpha's head.

"It's you or the child." A man said, raising a sword to her throat.

The Alpha, in her weakness from the child's birth, had no choice but to execute her own baby.

"Alfred, please." She said, passing her daughter to her most trusted guard and Beta.

But even with the baby set for execution, the pack still set on the Alpha. Lead by her mate, accusing her of cheating on him, and the reason for a wolfless child.

The night skies crack with lightning, as rain pours down into an open basket which hold a newborn baby. Long rejected by her pack and put to death by a parent who had no other choice.

She was seen as nothing but a human, which is unacceptable, especially in their pack, where everyone has to fend for themselves. Both young and old.

"I'm sorry, young one, but this is where we part ways." The man tasked to get rid of (kill) the baby said, kissing his finger then pressing it to her forehead.

She doesn't cry or fuss. Just stare up at the face of the worried man, who refuse to leave her at the hands of the elements, or other were-kind. But he had no choice, it is better than death, which he couldn't bring himself to end the baby's life. 

"I hope that someone finds you soon. I also hope that you find who you are and regain the throne, which is rightfully yours." He said, then placed a pendent tied with a string around her neck.

"Remember who you are, and where you came from, young one. You might not have your wolf now, but that will only lead to greatness."

Alfred let out a cry, hoping that any nearby pack would be forgiving enough to take the baby and raise it as their own.

Ok so before anyone says Hayley is annoying and what is up with her always wanting to leave. please understand that it is mainly because Davina used her ability on her to make her feel this way. She is the reason for Hayley to have negative thoughts, self hate and self doubt.

This book had a good base line but it needs editing, bad. There were A LOT of spots throughout the book where it was very confusing and hard to figure out what was going on.

Loving Haley, the simple fact she hasn’t snapped someone’s neck at this point, kiddo’s to her. I don’t see her trying to just up and leave. She wants to discover who she is and a lot is against her. I am sure self discovery is just around the corner and I can’t wait to read more about it.

Hayley woke with a stare, to a loud banging noise. Disoriented, she sat up in the bed and stumbled off the mattress. Another bang shuddered the walls of the house she was in. Leaving the pack was the only thing that stood out to Hayley. She didn't want to stay where people defined who she was. Sure, she had a few friends and all, but she didn't feel like she belong. Wishing that she could be free like them, especially the yellow and blue one. She could tell he was a character among its flock, and had a personality from the way he flew, looping around the others.
