Lucas saw Derrick at the party just as he was about to make out with Kayla. He was shocked and taken aback when he saw him even though he knew that he was going to be at the party. He couldn't stop thinking that Kayla was in immediate danger. He had put her in danger by bringing her to the party even though he was aware that Derrick will be attending as well. Derrick kept following them around too which weirded Kayla out. When she asked him about Derrick, he simply told her he was an asshole.
