Chapter 24 (A love to die for)

Lucas saw Derrick at the party just as he was about to make out with Kayla. He was shocked and taken aback when he saw him even though he knew that he was going to be at the party. He couldn't stop thinking that Kayla was in immediate danger. He had put her in danger by bringing her to the party even though he was aware that Derrick will be attending as well. Derrick kept following them around too which weirded Kayla out.

When she asked him about Derrick, he simply told her he was an asshole. Better than telling her that he was trying to kill her.

The jacket he had taken came in handy when he noticed that Kayla was cold. After covering her with the jacket, he offered to take her upstairs to make her warm.

He wore a naughty smile on his face as he told her and with the smile she gave him, he knew she was all in for it.

He held her hand and they walked up the stairs. Lucas had come to this place a lot of times before now and so he knew that there were a lot of rooms upstairs for use.
