As soon as James informed Aries about Genelia and his unavailability, Aries went to see Genelia, who was admitted to the same hospital as Veronica.

He cracked the door open and took a peek at Genelia lying lifeless on the bed with various wires attached to her body. He drew a deep breath. It was hard to see once a bubbly girl fighting the biggest battle of her life.

He was still mad at her for her stupid decisions and for making her life a series of mistakes, but the underlying siblings’ love was undeniable. Aries held her soft hands. Leukaemia was eating her up. Even her entire fortune was useless in saving her.

For the first time, money wasn’t making any sense to him. Aries kissed the back of her hand when his eyes stopped on her forearm and the dark marks appeared as if she was roughed up. Aries inspected the marks, and they appeared to be fingerprinted.

Aries clenched his jaws, and his eyes darkened walking out of her room. He looked for Keith and he found him at the end of the
