Chapter 27: The Calm before the Storm

Before the onslaught had started, I had already prepared to dodge it.

It's now my chance. I smirked.

I charged at him repeatedly with the speed of light, but he kept avoiding my attacks. Finally, with all my strength, I performed a twist strike that split his stick in half.

“This is the third stick you have broken in the past hour, Aiden,” Liam stated, huffing as he threw the broken pieces away.

“Want to talk it out?” he asked.

I picked up another stick from the rack and rotated it in my hands before gripping it tightly, “Sure.”

I pounced at him after I responded. He backflipped, somersaulted, and grabbed a fallen stick off the ground to avoid the blow.

"Sure, you want it this way. "Let's go," Liam said as he lunged at me.

As we fought, our sticks collided.

Unfortunately, I spent the night at Jo's with Adrik. Every time he smiled at her, I was on the verge of smashing his face. Thinking about him exacerbated my wrath.
