"I'll pull all the personnel files from our base to compare them with what Kal and the techs find and make sure everyone's backgrounds check out." Sid explained to Jag as they headed back to Jag's quarters.
Sid could tell his friend was frustrated not only by the recent developments and lack of answers but because it felt like their female was completely oblivious to their bond. Admittedly they hadn't been around her all that much and unlike Draygonian women, humans were not educated to know what the signs were. Still, Sid understood the frustration all too well. He wished they could just tell Emma the truth and mark her but they had agreed slow and steady would be best.

Normally Sid enjoyed being out of patrol even if Kal and Jag weren't there. Since Jag had taken on General duties and Kal had been doing more work with the tech teams, Sid had taken over as the patrol leader. Kal had still been wide awake when the soft tone of the doorbell chimed. Beside him Emma stirred but didn't wake up, her hands curling around the duvet she cuddled to her. Emma had been fascinated by the different flowers, especially the bioluminescence of some species which had glowed with an ethereal beauty in the darkness. When Jag had mentioned the evening gowns, Camille had assumed there would only be a couple and basic at that. What she found in Jag's immaculate room was a clothes rack almost collapsing under the weight of all the dresses currently hanging from it. Sequins, pearls and gems sparkled in an array of colours while silk, satin and various wads of tulle had melded into some giant cloud of fabric.Soft pinks, sultry blacks, elegant golds and rich reds were lined up waiting to be examined and slipped on.
