Chapter Seventy Two: The Second Crack in the Glass

Falling deeply in love with someone won't be unequivocally easy at all, but it will be all worth it in the end.

"A mafia?" Zoey painfully breathed out the word from her mouth, slowly, like it was a poison of some sort. She was looking at Dionysus like her husband had suddenly become so foreign to her.

Dionysus was looking back at Zoey. The look on his ocean blue eyes were unreadable. Yet, Zoey knew. What Zara uttered was true merely because Dionysus wasn't denying it at all. As if on cue, Zoey's mind had a series of flashbacks dating to the first time they had met.

She thought back then, it was just her hallucinations or delusions. Or, she was just being judgemental. But, she can fucking sense it. The man she had married has the dark aura of a devilish man, a nogoodnik, an evildoer, a villain like those from every motion picture film. In other words, her husband shredded someone's life like it was just his playtime.
