Seventy-four: Meeting the family 3

It was an hour before midnight when Ryan and Amelia finally decided to go home. The night had gone well and dinner with Ryan’s family had been wonderful. The usual hostility that was always flying around and the tense atmosphere wasn’t there. It had all been joy and excitement to have Amelia and Dora with them. Ryan was so pleased with the outcome that he couldn’t keep his smile from his face all evening.

By the time they were ready to leave, he bid his parents goodbye, after lightly kissing his mom on the cheek and exchanging a hug with his father. Amelia also got a hug from his parents and from other members of the family, Cora included. Then, they had to peel Dora from Maggie’s grasp as it appeared the two of them were having a great time and weren’t ready to call it a night. Dora had been at the point of tears but thankfully, her grandma had some chocolate in stock for her and that diffused her tears and anger.
