Mira had intended to run to her mother's aid first. But as she saw Tober rushing toward her, she decided to stare death in the eye and she charged at him with the whip sword raised high above her head.

A forbidding laugh departed her lips as he shifted into his wolf. If he thought that she would retreat, he was dead wrong.

She screamed, bringing the sword down, Tober's wolf, Ink, leapt to the side, and he started to run circles around her. Mira stood tall, she widened her stance and kept her head facing forward. The tip of the sword was buried in the moist soil that was flooded with blood and rain.

"I know you and your horrid mother sent a bounty after me. It must have pissed you both off to know that even a trained assassin failed to take my life." She breathed out as she closed her eyes and focused on his footsteps.
