I wasn't sure what I was hearing. I knew Vossler had a daughter but how could I be sure this girl standing before me is really her. "Why would you want to help Aura? Wouldn't you want her gone so your pack would gain more power and territory?"

"Alpha Draven, I want peace, we have lost so many wolves, it's time for healing. My father has lost sight of what it means to be Alpha, he wants more territory, power, and money, and he has forgotten his first obligation is to the pack. I would challenge him but I am too young."

"If you can prove you are who you say you are, I will listen." I was not about to take the word of some kid claiming to be someone I had never met.

I backed up a bit allowing her to reach in her pocket, she pulled out the crest of Vossler. It would be impossible for another wolf to have. I let go. "You have proven who you are, but how do I know I can trust you?" I knew better than to trust anyone.
