Chapter Forty Nine

Aura's POV

I woke up to find my Draven curled around me. The twins were sleeping soundly in their bassinet. I snuggled deeper against my mate. I let his scent soothe my worry. I couldn't help thinking about the young she-wolf locked in the prison. What if she was being hurt or worse? I wanted to go to her, to see for myself she is being cared for but that meant returning to the hell I had lived myself. I cringed as the memories started their relentless assault on my mind. I closed my eyes as I remembered the first time the guard had raped me. I have come so far from the scared little she-wolf I had been. Carefully I wiggled out of the grasp of my mate.     Aura's POVI spent the day trying to take care of the twins without my mate's help. I was tired after a long night of mourning the loss of Alpha Oren. It was very sad.
