I knew she kept standing there until she could barely see our cars. I even looked back to drink in her image through my eyes. She might not see me due to tinted glass but the sadness evident on her face was sending me on a guilt trip.

I acted like a jerk. Just when finally, she was opening up to me, I pushed her several steps back.

I wanted to win her respect and trust. I wanted her to accept me as her mate whether she got back her wolf or not.

I had been trying to convince myself that it doesn't matter if she would ever smell my scent or not. I will make her fall for me.

I just wished that I could ask the driver to turn back the car.

"Your highness! You will have a look at the slides now or later in the hotel room?"

My secretary Garcia asked me, who was sitting beside me.

"Hmm? Open the laptop. We will do it now." After ordering him, I closed my eyes trying to apologize to her silently.

"Lucas." I sent him a mind link to my second in command, "Is she alright?"

"Who?
