Chapter 6 Sick

Serry had arrived at the big mansion of the Benson family. Paying no heed to her mother's greeting, she went straight up to the third floor of her room. Omega immediately lay down on her bed and covered her entire body with a thick blanket. Tears quickly streamed down her cheeks, then rubbed roughly with her sleeves. Serry tried her best to hold back a sob by biting her lip until it bled.

Knock…knock…knock…

“Serry, can mom come in?” A middle-aged woman with a soft face stood in front of the daughter's room. Omega is called Zerrin; wife or Luna of Wycliff Benson.

There was no answer from inside the room, so the middle-aged woman pulled the lever on the door, which turned out to be unlocked. The first thing she saw upon entering the princess's room was darkness. There was a big mound in the middle of the king-size bed, which she assumed it must be Serry.

“Serry,” Zerrin called once more.

“Hmm,” muttered Serry.

Zerrin took a deep breath and sat down on the bed. She stroked Serry's shoulder, which was shaking.

“Is there any problem? Can you tell mommy?” Zerrin opened the blanket that wrapped her daughter's body. Her dark eyes were surprised when she found that her daughter's condition was far from good. “Dear, are you ok?” Omega was tightly hugging her child's body that was shaking, holding back tears. She stroked the head of her soft brown hair gently.

“Mama, when you get your destiny with papa. How does it feel?” asked Serry.

“It was like there was a burst of happiness as soon as our eyes met. I was very young at that time when I got the red, complicated mark from the Moon Goddess. Wycliff Benson is a scary strong Alpha, but when he is with his Omega he will turn soft,” Zerrin explained with sparkling eyes.

“Will I ever get that happiness, mama? My Alpha rejects me, it feels like my heart bleeds every time I hear his rejection.” Serry looked at her mother, who also looked sad.

“Honey, all Alphas will fall in love at first sight upon seeing their Omega. There is no Alpha that hates its Omega,” said Zerrin.

“But, why is it that only my Alpha seems to hate me. He never accepted my existence. He always said harsh, sharp, and pierced the recesses of my heart. Did I do something wrong in the past that my Alpha rejected me!” cried Serry emotionally.

Zerrin cried when she heard all her daughter's words. She still remembers in her mind when Serry got a red mark on her neck. Her daughter was happy when she saw a dashing Alpha who came forward showing the same sign as hers. However, that happiness never existed because the Alpha named Addy did not want to be close to Serry. The young man even looked reluctant at the engagement ceremony two years ago.

“Try to communicate your relationship more intensely. Mama is sure that Addy loves you too. An Omega's instincts are never wrong. The look in his eyes when he saw you for the first time was one full of longing, but I don't know why he turned you down.” She stroked Serry's mo chi cheeks, which looked red.

Serry nodded her head slowly. “Okay. I will try harder for my Alpha to accept my presence. I love Addy very much, and I don't want his to break our bond,” complained Serry.

“Honey, your Alpha won't break the bond since you guys are already connected. The destiny of the Moon Goddess can never go wrong.” Zerrin smiled sincerely. “Be patient. Papa and mama will try to talk to Addy.”

“Not!” cried Serry. She shook her head noisily. “Don't do that. I'm afraid Addy will get angrier. I don't want our relationship to be more strained if papa and mama interfere.”

“Okay. We're not going to do that,” Zerrin said.

“Ah… it hurts,” a groan escaped from Serry's lips. Her stomach hurt as if she had been stabbed by a knife.

“Serry, why? Which hurts!” Zerrin panicked and immediately ran out of the room to call her husband. “Papa… come here quickly. Our princess is sick!”

Not long after, the sound of friction between the house slippers sounded loud. Wycliff sprinted up the stairs to the third floor of his mansion. The man was so panicked that he tripped over his feet several times. When he entered Serry's room, his sharp eyes saw Luna hugging her beloved daughter, who was closing her eyes.

“What is it?” Wycliff approached the two people he loved. Panic hit him when he saw Serry's pale face.

“Honey, our daughter was complaining of stomach ache. Quickly call a private doctor!” shouted Zerrin frantically.

The dominant alpha quickly called the Benson family's personal doctor. While waiting for the doctor to come, the middle-aged man hugged Serry's body, which was very hot. He guessed that Serry must have caught a fever because she was outside. Wycliff unconsciously released his strong pheromone, he guessed that this must have something to do with Addy.

“Honey, don't get your pheromones out,” Zerrin said breathlessly. She felt very tight when the Alpha released its dominant pheromone. Omega knows that the Alpha must be holding back anger.

“Sorry,” said Wycliff. The man immediately stopped the pheromone. However, his pupils turning bright yellow indicated that the Alpha was engulfed in emotion.

“Addy, can we talk for a minute.”? Wycliff was standing in front of his daughter Alpha's café.

Addy of course, was surprised that an Alpha, the leader of the Benson family met him. The middle-aged man's dominant aura was really dark, and it was fortunate that he who was also a dominant Alpha was not affected by the strong pheromone of the Alpha in front of him.

“Yes,” said Addy curtly.

Addy invited Wycliff to sit inside the café, which had been closed since half an hour ago. Luckily, Beatrix had given him the key to the café.

“What do you want to drink? I'll make you the drinks you want, Mr. Wycliff,” Addy asked very politely.

“Make me some good black coffee,” Wycliff replied.

The old man's eyes watched Addy who was so good at making coffee. Seeing Addy working so hard in between his busy lectures certainly gave the old man pride in himself.

“Please enjoy, sir.” Addy put the white cup on the table. The black liquid that emits hot smoke gives off the characteristic smell of pure coffee.

“Thank you,” Wycliff said with a small smile. He took a sip of the coffee and his lips immediately curved into a satisfied smile. “Your coffee is perfect, so it's no wonder this café has so many fans.”

“Thank you very much, sir.” Addy lowered his head. His ten fingers intertwined. He was sure if the arrival of the middle-aged man would talk about Serry.

“How are you and your family,” Wycliff said.

“I'm fine, and my parents are also in good health,” Addy replied.

The middle-aged alpha stroked his chin. Staring at Addy with his yellow eyes. "You've been tied up for four years. Is there no intention for you to accept my daughter? If you have a problem, fix it quickly. Nothing is perfect, including my daughter. Even though she was born of Benson's bloodline, there were still many flaws in her. As Alpha, you have to guide Serry in more directions,” said Wycliff.

“Forgive me.” Addy is still looking down.

Wycliff sighed heavily. “What's the reason you haven't received Serry yet?”

Addy stayed where he was, not intending to answer. His full lips that were as red as blood were tightly pressed together. The whole reason he wanted to say stuck in his throat.

“Do you know if Serry is currently sick,” said the middle-aged man.

Suddenly, the jet-black haired head looked up, his dark blue eyes rolling restlessly. “What pain!” Addy exclaimed.

Wycliff smiled faintly when he saw the worried look on the young Alpha's handsome face. He knew that Addy had a crush on his daughter, but he didn't know why the hard-working Alpha was reluctant to accept Serry.

“The doctor said she had a stomach ache because her stomach couldn't take bitter coffee,” Wycliff said. “I wonder why she was so reckless in consuming the thing that caused her illness to relapse. Like it wasn't just Serry." Wycliff purposely explained his daughter's condition to see Addy's reaction.

Addy feels guilty because he is the Omega in pain. The Alpha inside him was already screaming in anger and cursing at him, who had deliberately made his Omega Americano. But, Addy didn't care because it was Serry's fault who ordered the bitter drink.

“If you're concerned about her condition, please come to the Benson residence. Your Omega must be happy." The middle-aged man hoped in his heart that Addy would just take a quick look or visit Serry as medicine so that her condition would get better soon.

The young Alpha sighed heavily. He stood up from his chair and put on his denim jacket and tattered black hat.

“Sorry, Mr. Wycliff. I'm busy, so can't see your daughter. I'm sure your daughter will get well soon."

“Why are you so sure of your assumptions?” Wycliff asked.

Addy smiled faintly. “Because your daughter must have received number one treatment and intensive care from the Benson family's private doctor. There's no way she's still lying there in pain waiting in line for an examination like ordinary citizens do," explained Addy with a faint smile.

Speechless, Wycliff stood up and walked out of the café. Before going out, the man said a sentence that made Addy's heart rumble.

"Boy, as long as you know. No matter how great and sophisticated the doctor is in treating my daughter's illness. Only you are the most efficacious medicine for her recovery. Just by looking at your portrait, my daughter's condition gradually improved,” Wycliff said and then lightning fast towards his luxury car parked in front of the café.

Addy tightened his teeth until shedding. The young Alpha felt an indecision in his heart. If he follows his feelings, then Serry's life is unhappy. On the other hand, if he is determined to reject Serry and break the knot on the full moon this year, then he will be ruined. So did Serry.
