Chase Willard had a gloomy expression on his face after sending Ivy away from the restaurant.

He was so mad at her after seeing the guts she had.

When called her earlier to come over to the restaurant for a job– He only wanted her to witness his romantic moment with Davina–This was a great way to get her to divorce him.

He thought that Ivy would readily sign the divorce papers, and free him of the burden of being married to a pauper.

Getting rid of her means that he would get back together with Davina and his reputation will skyrocket immediately.

This is because his family feels that he was worthless and wouldn't be able to contribute anything to the family since he was married to a poor orphan whereas his brothers were married to girls from influential families.

It wasn't his fault in the first place but no one cares about the fact that he was forced to marry Ivy to fulfill his grandfather's wishes.
