Just the beginning

Seeing that Stella was quiet, Charles grew more worried thinking that she was really mad at him for not coming yesterday. Why didn't he come visit her last night? Why did he focus more on getting promoted than visiting his sick Girlfriend but now it was too late to worry because there was nothing he could do anymore. What's done is done, he can't turn back the time so she's just going to apologize to her and make her see how much he's sorry but Charles doesn't know that he was wrong.

He knocked again and this time Stella opened it, looking a bit nervous but was still trying her best to maintain a stable composure. Charles didn't even have time to study her facial expression, he just pulled her into a tight hug and began apologizing to her.

"I'm sorry honey, forgive me. I know you're mad at me because I was supposed to come see you earlier but I didn't. I caused your fever because I was really obsessed with getting promoted in the company, I'm a really bad boyfriend please forgive me"
