Kristof's Point of View
I noticed her the moment she entered the club. The subtle scent of blossoms was remarkably different from the rest of the room. The fragrance was driving me wild and overpowered all other smells in the room.
She was stunningly beautiful in an elegant way but seemed out of place here. I caught her staring at me. I wondered if she felt as drawn to me as I was to her. I smiled seductively at her, and she blushed and looked away. It seemed so innocent. I could certainly hope.
"My mate!" I growled softly to Noah, "and human."
Noah looked in the same direction as I was looking.
"Surely not the dark-skinned one in the red dress?" he said. "I hope not because we have hooked up a couple of times."
That could be awkward since I was his Alpha, but I assured him I meant the strawberry blonde in the black dress next to her.
"Not her."
"Her friend?" Noah confirmed. "Well, that is fortuitous."
I started to go up to claim my mate, even though I knew she was human. I was sure she would feel the pull of the mate bond. After all, she stood there and stared at me as if we weren't in a crowded nightclub.
"Alpha. Wait," he said. "The woman in the red dress; her name is Zara. She could be merely a way of introducing yourself. Her friend's name is Alàine, if I remember correctly. She is quiet and a lot more reserved than her friend."
I was surprised when she stopped to talk to a group of young whelps. If I remember rightly, the girl's name was Tyra, and she was mated to Noah's younger sister. They seemed to know each other, and it didn't look as if it was a friendly conversation.
"Caution, Kristof; there are many humans here. This is not our club, remember."
However, the scent of my future mate was driving me crazy and drowned out the rest of the world. Frankly, I was not listening to him as I walked toward her.
Noah sighed and hurried after me as he was known to do, hoping that I wouldn't do anything extreme in front of humans. I wouldn't, but I wanted my mate and she wasn't going to get away from me. I had been waiting too long for her.
Aláine's Point of View"Al… Kristof!" uttered Tyra.
I was turning around to leave and walked into him. Standing close behind me was the handsome stranger I had seen before. He was almost a head taller than me, which was no mean feat for my 180 centimetres. A well-trimmed beard adorned his chiselled face.
I found myself mesmerised by his deep brown eyes flecked with gold. To top it off, he exuded a raw sexuality and was standing so close.
Again, we stood there staring into each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity. This time it was not across a crowded nightclub. I had to control myself as there was nothing to stop me from running my hands through his hair.
"Perfect," he whispered.
I really wanted him to kiss him... and more. I had never felt such wantonness before, and it terrified and thrilled me. I had to remind myself to breathe and close my mouth just before I drooled.
Feeling overwhelmed, I stuttered my apologies and tried to take a step to the side but tripped instead. He reached out and caught me by the waist. Pulling me into him, he burrowed his nose into my neck and inhaled deeply.
I used this opportunity to smell him too. There was the subtle scent of grass after the rain that tantalised my senses. What was I doing?
"My name is Kristof, and you are meant to be my mate," he growled in a deep voice.
"Mate? What the actual fuck?" I tried to push him away and shook my head to bring myself back to reality. "Zara!" I called for my friend.
I really needed her hardheadedness right now.
I heard Tyra talking to the handsome stranger who called himself Kristof, "She's my cousin, Kristof. She doesn't know."
I could still feel Kristof's hands around my waist. He was not letting go and I was confused. On one hand, I was drawn to this drop-dead gorgeous stranger; on the other hand, I was so far out of my comfort zone. With all of my conflicting emotions tonight, all I wanted to do was run away like Cinderella.
"Pup. Come, and we will take a trip while you explain it to her." Kristof demanded as he gently manoeuvred me toward the exit.
"Where are you going with my friend?" asked Zara. "She has done nothing wrong. Noah! Stop him!"
I could always rely on Zara to help out. He stopped and stared at Zara, trying to intimidate her. She wouldn't be though, I was sure.
"Where she goes, I go," Zara said bravely, obviously not having a bar of it.
Go, girlfriend! Kristof looks at Zara, then at Noah, then back at Zara.
"Fine." he snapped.
Thank God for that. I really didn't want to go anywhere with this stranger without her, even if he could melt my insides just by looking at me.
I hope you are enjoying it so far. Please let me know your thoughts on it.
Noah's Point of View When Kristof and I arrived at the nightclub, we immediately found Lucas, the unmated Alpha of the Midnight Pack. His pack were situated in the city and ran the nightclub, among other businesses. I had heard that he was pretty hands-on with the nightclub. "Welcome, Alpha Kristof, Beta Noah," said Lucas bowing. "Are you here for personal, pack or kingdom business?" "Personal, Alpha Lucas," Kristof replied. "I was directed to your city to find my mate." "May you find our next Queen soon and easily," he replied. "Enjoy your time in my club." With that, he went off to attend to business. As usual, we were surrounded by many unmated female wolves hoping to attract an Alpha or Beta. There were even some human females staring at us with desire. Neither Kristof nor myself were interested unless they were destined to be our true mates. I had already found mine, but she was human, and I wasn't entirely sure whether it would be an issue or not. It was one thing for m
Aláine's Point of View Fuck! Right this moment, my world was on shaky ground. It was all too much and I wanted to get out of the nightclub, and not necessarily with anyone else. I was determined not to be weak. I was not a crier. Not now or ever, and I would stick to that come hell or high water. "Damn! I am losing it," I sternly told myself. "Come on, damn it! Focus and get control!" Apart from being upset by Tyra's comments and confused by this man, I didn't like the feeling of not being in control. I also didn't like the oversexed, gorgeous hunk of a male who smelt like grass after the rain, whose light touch on my waist was sending a frisson down my body. Oh, who was I kidding? I needed to amend that thought. I just hated the feeling of not being in control. That oversexed, gorgeous hunk of a male who smelt like grass after the rain is exactly what I liked and really, really wanted. "I'm not going anywhere with you until you explain yourself," I threatened, trying to sound br
Aláine's Point of View I wished he wasn't so close to me; it was truly hard to focus. When he brought his face close to mine, I could feel his breath lightly on my face. I must have been blushing by now. I certainly felt like my face was as red as a beetroot. Shaking my head, I said, "That's no indication. Every woman in the club is probably attracted to you. You are a walking candy store of attraction." It was Kristof's turn to chuckle now, which was unnerving because he was so damn sexy. I ought to make a mental note that he certainly was a walking candy store, and I had a sugar craving. Again, I tried to shake my head to try and dispel the effect he was having on me. It wasn't working very well. Taking a deep breath and with a slightly audible quiver in my voice, I said to Kristof, "I am not going with you tonight. I have a life. Well... I have a part-time job and a pet, and that's my life. If you want me, take me on a date. We need to get to know each other first." Kristof
Cassandra's Point of View Tyra and I went clubbing as usual. This was our little nightclub where we met for the first time. We were sitting at a table close to the dance floor, hanging out with some friends. The nightclub had the added bonus of being owned by the Midnight Werewolf Pack. Not the same as my brother's pack, but one of the packs swearing allegiance to the Kingdom of the Grey Moon. "Speak of the Devil," I said under my breath. I could just make out my brother Noah and Alpha Kristof. I was proud that Noah was Alpha Kristof's Beta. They had just finished talking to Alpha Lucas, who owned the club and ran the city-based pack. "What was that?" responded Tyra. "I was just thinking of Noah, and who should I see?" I answered. Tyra smiled at me. "Oh shit! What is she doing here?" she exclaimed. "What's up, my love?" I asked. "I've just seen my cousin Aláine," answered Tyra. "She's here with Zara." "Is that the Zara who has been hooking up with Noah?" I asked, smiling.
Aláine's Point of View It was morning time all too soon, as I slowly opened my eyes and stretched. I was drained, bordering on exhausted, when I sat in the kitchen holding my first cup of coffee for the day. Every last detail I could remember from last night has been running through my mind, not to mention some highly erotic moments involving Kristof. They hadn't actually happened, but I wished they had. Damn, he was sexy, and there was no doubt that I was attracted to him. Who wouldn't be? So what did happen last night? Everything seemed surreal. This incredibly sexy, attractive specimen of manhood had walked into my life and said we were destined to be mated forever. To top it off, this was all determined by some obscure Moon Goddess. I was not a religious person whatsoever. Typically, my warning bells would be going off majorly, but for some strange reason, they weren't. Still sitting at the kitchen table, now nursing a lukewarm cup of coffee, I found my mind focusing back on
Zara's Point of View Aláine and I sat in her bedroom while she went through her wardrobe. Yay! My BFF was going on a date tonight, and I was absolutely thrilled for her. Aláine didn't go out much and didn't date anyone after the issues with her ex-boyfriend, Marc. She often turned guys down that I wouldn't have. Well, at least until I met Noah. Marc was an arsehole because she wouldn't sleep with him. Now she was going out with this gorgeous-looking guy, who was a werewolf. "I'm dating a werewolf," Aláine said incredulously. "I'm going on a date. Seriously, what the fuck am I doing?" "You will be fine," I replied. "Werewolf or not, Kristof seems like a nice guy. I know Noah is, so I am sure he is too." "But I don't date!" she exclaimed. "Hold on, are you nervous because he is a werewolf or because you are going on a date?" I asked. "Yes!" she said nervously. At this point, I was trying not to laugh at her. She really needed to get out more and realise that not every guy was li
Aláine's Point of View The next night, I looked at myself in the mirror from the front and side views. "Here I go again," I said to Zara, "dressing in clothes that are really out of my comfort zone and showing too much leg and chest." I turned and looked at Zara, "Maybe I should wear my usual jeans and see if that turns him off." "Don't you dare!" scolded Zara. "Every girl should have a little black dress. You look better in my clothes than I do. Good thing I'm your best friend, or I'd be very jealous of you." "I love you too, girlfriend," I replied. This little black dress is too short as far as I am concerned and shows far too much leg. "I'd never buy fabulous clothes like these," I answered. "Thank you for letting me use your wardrobe... again." There was a knock on the door, and Axel went wild, barking and jumping. Zara went downstairs and opened the door. "Your walking candy store is here, Aláine!" she called, laughing. I could hear Kristof's voice, although I couldn't he
Kristof's Point of View I noticed her body react after I hinted at sex. Not only did her eyes widen, but so did her pupils. My wolven aspects could smell her body's delicious reaction. As I sat back, I smiled, knowing I had succeeded in turning her on. Of course, my body also reacted, and I was glad the table cloth hid my hardening, and I will admit my somewhat prominent, bulge. Both my wolf and Lycan wanted to fuck her right here and now. My human side was battling them for dominance because it would be totally inappropriate to give in to that impulse in a crowded restaurant. My human side would have most likely given in if we were in private. "Excuse me, sir, if I may serve your dinner now?" The interruption by the waiter brought me back to reality. I needed to take a deep breath to control my anger at being disturbed by another male and turned to look up at the man. I simply nodded, not trusting myself to say anything. During the main course, conversation about the three werew
