She was frozen in absolute shock. The scream about to escape her lips got muffled by his big, veiny hand that covered almost half of her face.

"You don't seem to understand me, do you?" He asked coldly as his fingers applied pressure on her cheeks.

Her ocean eyes were opened wide as fear danced in them. She immediately tried to get off his lap but his free hand grabbed her thigh keeping her in place.

Her frail hands came up as she attempted to remove his hand from her mouth but he just watched her struggle. Her eyes were closed.

"Don't scream," He muttered and she immediately nodded her head. He slowly moved his hand away.

Aurora took in a deep breath filling her lungs to the fullest as her lips parted slowly and then she screamed at top of her lungs.

"HELP-" He abruptly covered her mouth again rather roughly and grimaced at her. Her eyes were closed as she tried to pry his hand off her mouth.

"I f*cking hate disobedience," He hissed lowly near her ear as he pulled her face closer.

Her hand landed on his shoulder as she tried to push away from him.

He closed his eyes for a brief second, inhaling her scent.

His hand on her thigh tightened as he applied just a slight of his brute force and her brows scrunched in pain, her eyes shot open wide as their gaze met.

"Scream again and no one would be worse than me," He sneered as her eyes glossed up and she dropped her gaze to his chest.

He let go of her mouth and she breathed in sharply.

She already knew there was no one worse than him.

She tilted her head away but froze the very next moment when he grabbed her jaw. He had her cheeks in his grip, four fingers on one side and his thumb on the other as he made her face him again.

"Look at me," He demanded and she let him raise her face but her gazes were still fixated down. She didn't want to look into those dark intense pools that terrify her.

Their position, his proximity. It was all too much for her.

Her lungs burned for oxygen but it was as if she forgot the simple task of breathing.

"Look at me, Aurora," The way he said her name in that thick baritone voice of his sent chills down her spine.

"L...let g...go," She stuttered and he tilted his head.

His hand that was on her thigh went to the small of her back as he jerked her closer, emitting a gasp out of her lips as her eyes widened.

His scent mixed with his subtle cologne was all she could inhale when she forced herself to breathe.

"Keep disobeying me. I don't mind keeping you in this position," the threat was loud and clear in his words.

She stopped struggling completely but her eyes were lowered down. His fingers dug in her cheek demanding her attention and she forced herself to meet his gaze.

"Will you ignore me again?" He asked and when she didn't say anything he forcefully made her head tilt sideways as in shaking her head negatively.

"Words?" He queried and she was stiff as a statue feeling his big hand on her back.

"I w...won't," She whispered shakily and he nodded his head.

Aurora was trying her best to keep her gaze focused on his eyelids. His gaze flickered down to her lips as his hand hushed away a little and the rough pad of his thumb caressed the seam of her plump lower lip.

She visibly tensed. Her body went rigid. He could feel fear radiating off of her.

His touch was delicate.

And then he pulled his hand back and looked away.

"Move," He said coldly and she was on the verge of crying.

She tried to get off of him but it was too difficult. She didn't want to touch him anywhere. She was still trying when all of a sudden she heard him groan in annoyance and the next second he placed her back on her seat as if she weighed nothing.

Aurora scooted towards the door creating as much distance between them as possible. They haven't even reached his pack yet and he was already showing his true colors.

She teared up no matter how much she tried to control her emotions. She had so many dreams. So many expectations but it all got broken so maliciously.

Fisting her hands on her thighs she kept her gaze focused outside as a tear slid down her cheek and she immediately wiped it away.

She didn't know for how long she sat there rigid but it was already evening and they had been traveling nonstop. She was hungry. She wanted to pee but she kept mum. Her back was hurting, she tried to relax but her body was on high alert because of his daunting presence beside her.

He had attended almost seven to eight calls throughout the whole ride. Every time the ringing of his phone would startle her.

It was the ninth time his phone went off. He picked up the call and talked calmly at first. "Who the f*ck was it?" He growled all of a sudden causing her to flinch away as she dared to glance at him through the curtains of her lashes.

He looked mad.

"Jack? The f*cker," He gritted out.

"Keep him in the warehouse, I'll be there in a few hours." He said coldly before he cut the call.

Whoever this Jack was. He had pissed Alpha Draken to great extent.

Aurora didn't even shift in her seat. She didn't want to get his attention at all.

Hours.

He said a few hours.

Oh, God. She needs to pee so badly.

Her ears strained up when she felt the car coming to a halt. He pressed a button and the partition slid down.

"Alpha, we need a refill." The driver said and Draken nodded his head.

Aurora mustered up the courage to speak. "I...I need to use the restroom," She said in a small voice but he heard it.

He gazed outside once, "go," He muttered and she didn't need to hear twice as she got out of the car and scurried toward the female public restroom.

Once done she walked out while stretching her back, gosh. It hurts.

She came to an abrupt halt when she found him standing right outside.

"Let's go," He growled and her brows furrowed as she walked after him and tried to match up with his pace. To her utter surprise, he opened the door for her. She quietly got in as he closed the door and got in as the car was back on the road.

Why did he come after her? Was he concerned?

"I don't want you running off," He muttered coldly and she fidgeted with her fingers.

Maybe she thought too much. Him and concerned about her? Impossible.

She settled back on the seat and sighed. God knows how long it would take to reach his pack.

She tilted her body towards the door and stared out of the window. It was getting dark and she was so hungry. She just had a bite of cake last night. She was drowned in her thoughts as sleep slowly consumed her.

She frowned in her sleep when she heard someone calling her name. Instead of waking up she shifted on the seat and tried to find a comfortable position but couldn't.

Groggily she opened her eyes. "Let's go," A deep voice from right beside her had her jumping in her seat.

Her eyes opened wide as she nodded her head. He was already out of the car as she rubbed her eyes and got out trying to get rid of her sleepy haze.

The icy cold wind chilled her to the bones as all the sleep left her. She rubbed her arms and breathed in sharply. It was so cold.

"Alpha!" A chorus of Alpha was heard as it startled her. Her head snapped up and she was stunned by the number of men and women who stood in a line. They looked tough and there was no doubt that they were his warriors.

She stiffened when one by one all of their eyes set on her. They looked at her with cold emotionless looks.

"Noah, escort the lady to a guest room at my place," Draken said as one of the young-looking guys stepped forward and took the suitcase from the driver.

"Come," Noah said as he started to walk. Aurora hesitated for a second before she walked after Noah without sparing Draken a single glance.

Aurora was in awe at the interior of the posh-looking mini-mansion. This wasn't the pack house. "This is not a p...packhouse," She whispered.

"Yeah, this is Alpha's private place. The packhouse is right down the street," Noah said and she nodded her head though he couldn't see her.

She was glad he was escorting her to her room. All the guys out there looked the same cold and ruthless as Draken.

They took the stairs as he opened the first door. There were only two doors in total.

He placed her suitcase in the room and turned on the lights. "This is your room-"

"Aurora," She whispered gently.

"Aurora," He said while nodding his head.

"I'll take my leave," Noah said.

"Thank y...you," She whispered and he gave her a genuine smile before leaving the room.

Aurora was glad that she didn't have to share a room with Alpha Draken. The mere presence of that man makes it difficult for her to breathe normally.

The first thing she did was lock the door. She yawned loudly and got rid of her shoes. The tiled floor was stainless clean and it was freaking cold against her warm soles. Freeing her hair from the hair tie, she checked the ensuite bathroom and the walk-in closet. The room was cozy with a queen-sized bed in the middle. A huge window to her right.

She plopped down on the bed and sighed. It was so soft and soothing.

She grabbed a fluffy pillow and hugged it to her chest.

Just a little nap.

And just like that, she dozed off again. Too tired to think about anything.
