Mystery woman

Once they were all out of sight Nelly wiggled herself out of Eric's arm, she Certainly didn't want to be held by that man.

"Uhh thank you for helping me back there, but Mr Jonas, I'm afraid we need to go to our cab now."

Not even once did Nelly look at the man next to her, she only address Robert, the one she respected.

Rob on the other hand noticed the gloom on his brother's face and knew right then that he needed to do something.

For the fact that Eric voluntarily held a woman's waist was a clear indication to Rob that his brother liked that girl.

"Come on, it's still early and I'm sure you guys wouldn't mind some good food so why don't you just come with us. You don't mind right lady? I promise nothing will happen to you guys."

Robert begged with a goofy smile filling his face and just when Nelly was about to decline the invitation as she was erked by the presence of the man next to her, her sister Nonto beat her to it,

"Yeah I don't mind, Nelly we can go since we didn't plan to do anything other than to rest."

Nonto figured that these men were on good terms with her sister and were surely to be trusted given how formal they were dressed and how respectable they looked, and to top it off, they had come through for them when they needed help just now.

Those words defeated her as she watched the goofy smile on Robert's face broaden.

' owh God will this ever end.'

She screamed loud in her mind wishing she could kill her sister right there and then. Sadly all she could do at this moment was to give Nonto a death stare and that was enough for her to shut up.

Since she couldn't decline the invite anymore all Nelly could say was,

"That's ok, I guess."

And that alone was like a feather tickling Eric's heart, even so, his straight unreadable face remained the same.

They hopped in the car and drove straight to a five star restaurant nearby. Once they had arrived, the hostess welcomed them with a friendly smile and showed the to their table then gave them time to look at the order.

" You know Mr Jonas, I think you need to pick your friends wisely, some people aren't good for your reputation that you've worked so hard for."

Both Robert and Eric shared a look with both their eyebrows raised up.

"Why do you think that way?"

Nelly looked at this man next to her but was also intimidated by his aloofness and seriousness.

"Uhmmm, eeeh I'm just saying."

"Right, thank you for the advice, I'll surely note it down. Also you don't work for me so let's drop this Mr Jonas thing, it makes me feel old."

Thinking about that alone caused Rob to shiver.

"I'm not even thirty yet. Call me Rob, that's what all my friends call me, and this big guy right here is Eric. He may look scary but he does have a marshmallow heart."

"A marshmallow heart huh!"

Nelly blurted it out, thinking about how cruel and hush the man was to her just the other day.

" Yeah well he's the one who taught me everything I know about the music industry today."

After saying that, Rob then peaked at his brother using the side of his. He wanted to see if the man wasn't angry about the small information that he had just revealed about him, only to see him casually drinking his water.

"I see, well this is my little sister Nontobeko, but we call her Nonto for short. She'll be staying with me from now on, while she finishes school. "

"You look so young though, where are your parents?"

"Not in the picture, that's a story for another day though."

Right then the waiter had returned to take their order which cut their conversation short. They ordered a few dishes which were enough for all four of them, he then passed the menu to the girls,

"You guys can add anything you fancy."

The only thing they loved which Rob didn't order was barbecue wings and pork ribs, so they ordered that and passed the menu back to the waiter.

Not long after that, their food was brought out and they started digging in.

Nelly found the ribs succulent and packed with flavor just the way she loved it. She started eating and even forgot her table manners at home.

She only realize how she had behaved when a  large hand holding a napkin was stretched out to her, feeling embarrassed, she took the napkin and wiped her mouth then apologized like a little girl not daring to look them in the eye.

"Sorry."

"Is it that delicious or you are just too starved? I thought the money you won was enough to feed you, isn't it?"

Rob didn't care how embarrassed the girl looked all he wanted was to find a loophole for his brother to sweep in. If the girl needed money then it wasn't questionable that Eric would be  able to help her out.

"Owh no, not at all in fact the ones I make at home are far tastier than these, even so ribs are my favorite this."

"Mhmmm I see, we'd love to taste the ones you make then. Hope you don't mind, do you?"

"Not at all, next time when I'm free I make them for you."

Nelly readily agreed without even realizing that she had walked right in to trap that was laid out for her.

Once they were done eating Rob settled the bill and they started walking toward the exit of the restaurant.

As they exited, they failed to notice a woman seated in the corner while had been staring at them for quite some time now and was currently  busy taking pictures of the two women.

Once they were all out of sight, she shook her head in disbelief.

"It's really them."

She muttered to herself.
