JANNET’S POV

Coming out of Hollow Hills wasn’t a difficult task, since Sky carried me all the way back to Mudwest, which was through the portal in the tunnel. When we stepped out of the tunnel, Sky pushed me against one wall and pinned my hands.

My breath caught in my throat when I looked into his piercing blue eyes staring back at me, “You could have been in more danger by pulling that stunt out there,” he said, a no-nonsense-look on his face, which was pretty contradictory what he usually appeared like.

I gave him a sheepish smile, “I thought it would be a good idea. And the ghosts did not step inside the hole once I jumped into it.” I said and he narrowed his eyes at me.

“I left you for five minutes and you do stuff like this. It seems…” he inched closer to my face and his nose brushed my lower lip, “that I should be at your side all the time.”
