Chapter 108

Outside the operating room, Nicklaus heard his son's sharp and excited voice. He couldn't help but raised his hand and use his large palm to hide his eyes. Tears welled up in the corners of his eyes and cascaded down to his cheeks.

"Hey, Pretty Lady, why are you not speaking?" There was no sound at the other end of the phone. After a long time of waiting, Noah was feeling restless.

"It's me!" Finally, Nicklaus spoke in a low and hoarse voice.

"Dad!" Nicklaus was obviously disappointed when he heard that it was Nicklaus. His sweet voice shift to a low voice right away. "Dad, what's the matter?"

Nicklaus' brows shifted as he forced to keep his emotions in check. He calmed down after exhaling a sigh of relief and asked in a low voice. "Are you not upset anymore?"

"Dad, what's wrong with you? Why do I feel that your voice is so heavy?" Noah was holding his watch at the other end of the line. He frowned as he sensed the strangeness in Nicklaus' voice.

Nicklaus' brows were knitted together
