Sold As The President's Surrogate

"The family's finance is so poor and yet you are refusing such a tempting offer, Samantha!. Are you sick in the head!......Your father is dying!" Lydia, Samantha's step mother roared. She was just one step away from smacking her face.

Samantha trembled in fear. The dream she imagined was about to be shattered.

If she agree to be a surrogate, she will lost the love of her life forever. She will lost Stefan. She wants him to take her virginity on their wedding night and they will live a happy life. Her dream was as simple as that. To be with the man she loved dearly.

"Come on, sister. Are you still thinking about this? After all, it is for our benefit. You've always wanted to go to Harvard university to study cosmetics design. If you earn this money, it would be a plus...." Ashely said. She is Samantha's step sister and she is such a two faced human who is always pretending to be good to her in the public but in the private, she is nothing close to that.

But in fact, Ashley has an eye on her sister's boyfriend, Stefan Cole. He is the perfect definition of beauty.

Stefan is one thing Samantha has that Ashley never had.

Ashley wished that one day, Samantha would die and she can seduce Stefan into liking her.

"No way, Mother. Even if it means I won't be able to continue my education, I will bear it. I can't be a surrogate. It's not my dream. That is not the life I want." Sam burst out.

Lydia let out an evil smile. She stepped forward, "Fine, you don't want to continue your education...Do you even think I have money to send you?" She smirked and then she proceed.

"I need that money urgently. Ashley must study in Harvard. I am taking you to the hospital tomorrow and that is on period!" Lydia ordered coldly.

A heart wrecking sob burst out of Sam's mouth. Unlike Ashley, she is the good girl who always listen to whatever the George's family says. She always thinks that it is the only way she can pay them back for bringing her up to this level.

"Fine, I will do it. But I need to talk to Stefan..." She uttered, amidst her painful cry.

"Ohh that one, no need. He doesn't need to know about it. I mean you can hide away from him until the baby is born" Ashley said with an evil smirk only Sam could see.

All through the night, Sam couldn't sleep. She couldn't talk to Stefan as well. Her father's surgery fee is too much that Stefan could only raise half of it.

Long last, Sam gave up on trying to call him. It would only make matter worst.

At the first taste of the dawn, Sam woke up and thought of escaping but when she opened the door, the witch was already there and even the car was ready.

"Mother, Please....Mother..."

"Your father is dying....and it's not like you are getting married to someone else. It's just a surrogacy and you aren't even keeping the baby. If Stefan really loves you as much as you love him, then this shouldn't be a problem. After all you didn't sleep with a man" Lydia said and her words temporarily brought calm to Sam.

Apparently, a man wanting to fulfill his late girlfriend wish retrieved eggs form his girlfriend's body for vitro fertilization after she was announced dead in a ghastly motor accident which affected her brain.

Unfortunately, his late girlfriend had been ill for too long and her body had been injected with too many drugs which damaged her eggs. As a consequence, the embryo died naturally when it was implanted into Sam's body.

Surprisingly, the man then decided to use Sam's egg to fulfill his girlfriend wish of having a baby and the prize was increased from fifty million dollars to eighty million dollars.

"It's almost done, you need to stay still" The doctor's voice was calm but in Sam's ears, it was sore. She gritted her teeth and lay on the bed, looking so lifeless.

The only thing that made her stirr was the sound of a silhouette.

"Samantha, how is it? Did it go well?.." Lydia asked in an accomplished tone.

Samantha frowned, getting up from the bed, "I don't know. It's not like I'm a doctor or nurse. The result will be out next week.." The sperm had been implanted into her and she felt like a new person. She felt like trash.

"Hmm..a week!. Then you should remain in the hospital. You are not allowed to go anywhere!"

"What! But I need to see Stefan! I need to talk to him..."

"No way, Sam. You can't go anywhere. You should remain in the hospital to be fine and healthy. Otherwise the whole family would he ruined by you."

"What...??"

"The man wants nothing to happen to his child. You had better be careful, dimwit"

A week later the doctor announced that the procedure was a success.

Forty million dollars was paid to Lydia and the remaining forty million dollars to be paid when the child is born.

Sam was also discharged from the hospital. Surprisingly, when she got home, she met her father looking really healthy.

Did he get so much better in just a week?

Sam was confused but she dare not ask questions..

She only focused on her food at dinning.

The next day, she was woken up by a familiar voice. Realizing who it was, she quickly lift the bedspread and rushed towards the window.

"Stefan...."

When she saw her boyfriend whom she hasn't seen in a week, her heart skipped multiple beats. He was knocking on her window and it was even drizzling outside.

She couldn't help the tears that fell from her eyes. She opened her window anyways and ge got in like he has always did.

Dipping his hand into his pocket, he brought out a neatly folded paper.

"I did it Sam. I got into Oxford.....I'm finally going to study Architecture" He beemed but his smile dropped the moment he saw Sam's teary eyes.

"Babe, what's wrong..." He slowly held her hand. "Is it about your uni fee? I promise I will raise the money, you don't need to worry about that..." Stefan assured. Stefan is the heir of a multi billionaire but he was sent out by his father who wants him to build himself up without anyone's help. His father promised to will his properties to him only after he becomes successful by himself.

"Look here, babe..." Stefan raised her chin and then placed a soft kiss on her lip and at that instant, all the grievances and suffering she had suppressed in her mind exploded like a dam.

"Stefan....what are you doing here?" At this time, Ashley walked in on them.

Stefan loosened his hold on Sam's hip.

"Ashley, what happened to you sister?"

"Well....." Ashley looked up at Sam whose eyes were very teary, "That's because she is pregnant"

"Ashley, stop please!!" With imploring eyes, Samantha shouted.

Responding with a snort, Ashley looked at Samantha with a sly and mockery look.

"Babe...what's wrong? Tell me, I'm here" worried Stefan looked at Samantha.

"Ohh she's fine. She is just pregnant and need more rest...."

Before Ashley could finish her words, Stefan grabbed her and shook her shoulders vigorously, "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"No, Stefan. Don't listen to her. I will explain to you..." As Sam looked at Stefan, tears couldn't stop trickling down her eyes. Sadly, she couldn't even say a word to deny it.

"What!..." Stefan was totally heart broken. He had traces of tears in his eyes as well and Ashley saw it as an opportunity to cause more conflict between them.

"So? What if my sister get pregnant? Isn't she old enough to have a baby? Besides she is very much in love with her old man who impregnated her, compared to a meadow like you who can't even provide for her"

"You think I'm lying Hun? Otherwise why won't she explain it?" Ashley said joyously.

"What...I....." Stefan felt so betrayed. He looked at Sam in silence before he turned and left like he never came.

Ashley cleared her throat and crossed her arms around her chest. "Sister, I think you need to stop calling him. You don't have to worry, I will take care of him. Although your score is high but I am the one who got accepted into Harvard. From now on, I will be in the same uni with Stefan.."

"What did you say?" Although in tears, Sam couldn't believe what Ashley said because Ashley's result is nothing to write home about.

"It doesn't even matter. I mean why I'm I still talking to a dimwit like you? After all you will be kicked out of the George family immediately you give birth to this child.." As soon as Ashley said these, she raised her brows in victory.
