13. Killing The Innocent

My soft sobs fill the empty room, my tear filled eyes look beside me at Ray's empty bed, I wish she was here with me right now, I felt so alone at this moment.

She was enjoying her time with the other maids while I was shedding my tears in sorrow for the past 2 hours. I think it's better she doesn't see me before I leave, what could the poor girl do herself to save me?

At the end we are all just maids.

Suddenly, I remember something. I walk over to my cupboard and open it. I rummage through the unfolded clothes until I find it.

I pull out the worn out picture of my parents.

My tear falls down on my mothers face, I wipe it away with my thumb.

I study my parents happy face, I notice my mother's filled cheeks and bright smile. I see my father's protective arm around my mother.

"I'm sorry mom" I whisper. I wasn't scared of death, it's inevitable but what made me resist it was my family.
