79. Karma

I sit at a bench until it's finally time to put down Gio in his grave, I follow the crowd towards the graveyard, I hear some of the women gossiping that this is Moretti's personal graveyard and every family member has been buried here.

I stand at a corner waiting for the final ritual, Salvatore's phone rings, he glances at it then looks around as if searching for someone.

A minute later the crowd on the right side parts, Lucia slowly walks towards Gio, her father is holding onto her shoudlers for support.

Her face looks so dull, her hair are tied up in a meesy bun, she gently removes her father's hand from her shoulder, he stops midway letting her do this alone.

Hesitantly, she get's closer to Gio. Her lower lip trembles as soon as she gazes at his sleeping face.

She falls down on the ground, her father takes a step to hold her but stop, he clenches his fist and looks away with teary eyes.

"Gio..." she whisper brokenly.
