Chapter 09 (b)

He was working in his office. His eyes were not ready to move away from the papers kept in front of him but his mind was somewhere else. The fresh light coming into the room was enough to show that it was afternoon while doing this and the cops had not yet responded. Just an answer was needed and their silence was telling that they could not catch Hazel’s location yet.

He sighed, leaning backwards and closing his eyes. They burnt from the inside but he did not pay attention to it. Forgetting to blink in worry is not a big deal. The same happened to him.

The door of his office opened and that grabbed his attention yet he did not make a quick move to look at the person who entered his office.

“Dad?” He whispered, frowning a bit. He found his father coming to him and behind him, there was another man whom Christian totally ignored after he got a glimpse of his old skin. He looked away, displeased and right then, his father threw the day’s newspaper on his desk, causing him to sigh lou
