Isaiah took Zoey's hand and interlocked their fingers.

Zoey's heart skipped at the sudden gesture. She never expected it and so was dumbstruck.

Laura on the other hand stared at their locked fingers with shock written all over her face. The news was true and there was no other way to believe that.
