LOGINDrecos POV
"Mr. Marcelo" the doctor approached with two envelopes in his hands. "Miss Audrey is alright, she just had a bit of a concussion earlier. Apart from that there isn't any major issue" I acknowledged his words with a nod, keeping my eyes trained on the angel-like figure on the bed. A broken angel. Tearing my gaze off her, I made a scan of the papers. The first was a medical report, which showed records of minor injuries Audrey had sustained, including some malnutrition issues. The second report however, had me pausing. As I scanned the details, I felt my lips tug up. Interesting. The slight movement from the bed had me snapping my head up as my gaze locked with the deepest blues I had ever seen. There was a sheen of moisture in them which stirred something deep in me. She stared at me for what seemed like an eternity. I waited. Until the fog started to clear from her eyes and in its place recognition took hold. Then fear. It was expected, normal even, to be on the receiving end of this sort of reaction. I didn't gain a reputation as the most notorious personality in the country for nothing. But right now, I didn't need her fear. If she was going to be a valuable asset in my plans, I needed her to trust me. "W-why am I here?" "You got into an accident. Have you forgotten?" The sudden change in her mood answered my question. "Michael tried to kill me" It wasn't a question, it was a statement. Laced with such venom I never expected to hear from such a delicate looking girl. "Yes" I might as well let her anger grow. It would reduce my work later on. Her grip on the sheets tightened until her knuckles turned white. A strange urge to cover those pale hands with my much larger ones came from nowhere. Get a grip man! My main goal now was to get this woman to work for me. A message popped in my phone, It is ready, sir. I smiled at the efficiency of my captain. Now I just had to do the rest. "Do you hate him?" I asked, watching her stiffen as I settled beside her. "As much as I loved him" her voice was barely a whisper. "Then how does revenge sound?" Her eyes widened in disbelief. It was indeed hard for anyone to believe. After all, "You are his uncle" she continued, "Why would you want to harm him?" Ahh.... Such a naive little thing. "Sometimes, your greatest enemies could be those around you" A flicker of understanding passed in her eyes but I knew she didn't understand. For me it wasn't just those around me, it was the scumbag who brought me into this world. My father. "What did Michael do to you?" She asked. Was that concern in her voice? For that bastard? "Why? Are you worried about him?" Her scowl gave me my answer. "No!" A pause. "I-I just..." Color rushed to her cheeks before she averted her eyes. Patience had never been my forte might as well go on. "I don't have any grudge against Michael. It's the Marcelo family I'm after." The fear I had seen earlier returned, "your whole family..." Sigh~ "The Marcelo family owes me a debt." "I only hate Michael, I don't want to involve innocent people" her voice held a hint of righteousness and I couldn't help but chuckle. "Innocent?" "Sweetheart~ not a single one of that bunch is innocent. Trust me." "You have no idea just how twisted that family is. The blood on their hands." Mine boiled as I remembered a figure hanging lifeless from a noose. "That includes you?" she was looking at me directly now. "I am no saint either. But only a monster can destroy another monster." It was time. "Are you willing to take this monster's hand?" I watched her every move. The twitch of her fingers and her eyes that darted between my hand and hers. Just when I thought she was going to refuse, her palm soft and delicate reached out to mine sending a tingling through me. "Yes" There was no going back now. "Then marry me"Audrey’s POVI couldn’t dare refuse this offer. My insides burned from rage, and deep down I knew I couldn’t bring down Michael and Alana on my own. I needed help, and here it was, on a silver platter at that.A smile curved on his lips, one that couldn’t be labeled as one; his lips simply pulled up before returning back to their usual state. He gripped my hand a bit tighter, his larger hand covering mine completely.“Will you marry me, Audrey?”His words were smooth, gently reminding me that I hadn’t yet replied to his question.“Y—yes.” His thumb gently brushed the back of my hand. I felt a sudden jolt immediately that had me pulling away. His lips pulled up into a smirk, one that made a cold brush against my spine. Why did it feel like my fate had been sealed without the need of a contract? Was it normal trusting this man whom I didn’t know, had never seen before, and was now marrying???My lips parted to say something to oppose the marriage plans—maybe they could make another deal

Audrey's POV"When did you get here?" The words were barely audible."When you were crying." My heart ran cold at the thought that he had been here all this while. Watching. And even now he still had that cold indifferent look on his face. There was only one reason, "Michael... you knew" there was no doubt. Alana had been right, I was indeed foolish."Yes" his simple answer made a different feeling begin to build up in my heart. Something unrefined, violent. Hot. Pure. Anger."In fact this was all orchestrated by Michael." Alana supplied to which he just smirked. "Why?" I croaked. "Isn't it obvious? I was done playing. I needed a breakup" his calm tone made that heat surge forward like a cannon ball. Exploding in my body. My heart was past the point of hurting at such words, "You could just have told me Damnit!" "Audrey." His tone had an edge to it but I didn't give a fucking shit about that now. "Know your place, you should even be honored that I went out with you." He paused,
Audrey's POV"We seem to have a little thief among us, don't we?" Alana said, her eyes glinting. I tried to calm down my nerves but I couldn't. Not when I was being called a thief. "I didn't take it" I hate how weak my voice sounds but I kept my chin up. Alana laughed, causing the ladies around to also join in the derisive laughter. I've never felt so embarrassed as I felt then. Being the 'joke'. "The necklace must have gone to your bag on its own accord then" another woman said and the laughter increased causing those nearby to take note of us. I panicked as I watched the growing crowd. I had never been the center of attention before and this was clearly not a situation I would prefer standing in. Not when my fiance Michael had brought and his family was close by. I rubbed my sweaty palms on my gown. I was thinking of something, anything I can use to prove my innocence. Ah!"Don't you have anything to say?" Alana asked. Her eyes were mocking and for the umpteenth time since I met
Audrey's POV "Hey you! More shots!" I groaned as I refilled several cups with liquor. Today was one of those days I hated. Actually it was the one I hated most. Fridays. The bar was heavily packed with people who only had one thing in mind —getting their asses drunk. And they weren't very patient about it. I maneuvered the sea of crowds while balancing trays on my shoulder. "Here's your order" I almost knocked over the drinks but caught myself just in time. "Watch it!" One of the men shouted, causing me to flinch. Muttering an apology under my breath I glided to the next table. After taking several orders, I returned to the counter almost dizzy from all the noise and people. "Hey Audrey" Alexa, one of the attendants, joined me. "How's it going?" my response was a grimace which had her chuckling lightly. "Told ya to claim a sick leave. How do you still want to go on a date after all this mess" she waved her hands exaggeratedly but it was her words that had me pausing. A date. The
