Chapter Thirty-six: Trouble.

Terror was etched on Helia's face as she paced up and down the living room. It had been forty-eight hours since she last saw Rendall, and now, Rendall was nowhere to be found.

Brient had gone to the police to file a complaint. Helia rubbed her palms as they got more sweaty. She had offered to join Brient in visiting the Police, but he asked her to stay back home to see if Rendall would come back.

She had been glancing at the door at intervals, hoping that Brient would open the door and walk in, but her hopes got dashed each time she stared at the door.

"Rendall."

She closed her eyes, probably trying to hold back the tears that were beginning to well in her eyes.

"I'm sorry." Her voice was low and raspy. Her throat began to hurt.

"It was all your fault," Nalea said in her head hoarsely.

"I thought I'd be happy if he wasn't around," Helia sulked.

"How do you feel now that he is missing?"
