Antonio stood at the center of the lobby, hands tucked into his pockets, cold eyes sweeping over the hushed employees like a storm held at bay. His voice was calm—too calm—and colder than steel.

“ Let this be the last time anyone in this company believes silence is safety. I don’t care who you are, what your title is, or how long you've been here; if you lay a hand on another person, if you abuse your power, or hide behind fear, I will find out. I already know more than you think.”

He let the words settle like ice water in their veins before adding, almost too quietly,

“There are eyes in every corner, records on every wall, and loyalty where it counts. Speak up—and you will be protected. Stay silent—and you'll become collateral.”

Then, without a blink or break in composure, he turned to the guards,

“Make sure the cameras from the last seventy-two hours are reviewed. I want a report on my desk by noon. No one leaves until I say so.”

Some employees, still unaware of the incident,

‘ How could this be?’ Mason asked in his mind, utterly speechless. His mind racked through his brain and memory, trying to get a glimpse of what he'd missed. There was never a sign of Eloise breaking; she had just snapped at him one afternoon when, in fact, they had no issue the previous night. This switch. He couldn't wrap his head around it. Mason blinked rapidly, his mouth parted slightly, but the words stuck on his tongue. This couldn’t be real. Right? Eloise. His Eloise, standing in front of him, wearing nothing but confidence and rage like silk. And now, there's a man? Tamara was right? She was already seeing another man while still married to him? How dare she? How dare she? She belongs to him! Mason clenched his fist so hard his nails dug into his palm as he glared at the man who looked familiar, but he couldn't tell where he'd met him. But he didn't care. Right now, he was boiling. Antonio hadn’t spoken a word, just smirking as he stood beside her, his presence alone

Eloise felt a chilly rush run down her spine. Her toes curled, her throat went dry, and her chest? Worse. Her chest tightened, a hard, sharp stab piercing her heart, making it feel worse than the chill. She couldn't tell if her heart was sinking or aching. Or maybe both. Her gaze stayed fixed on the video, lingering on his disheveled hair and the slight swelling under his eyes, signs he hadn’t been sleeping well. There were days she'd have run outside to meet him out of worry, cup his cheeks, and sweetly assured him not to worry about anything. Smooth his hair for him and probably crack a joke. But not anymore. Those eyes she once loved staring into, his restlessness, his impatient gestures as he continuously pressed the button, don't melt her heart like they'd have, nor does it make her worry. Rather. It makes her blood boil. Her fingers trembled and curled. Her teeth gritted as tears brimmed in her eyes. Not because of the betrayal of her love, his lies, and deceit. But becaus

Tamara's laughter burst out like a dam breaking. Shrill, unhinged, and echoing through the room with wild intensity. Her shoulders shook violently as she gasped between cackles. Thankfully her mother wasn’t home. She'd definitely think Tamara had lost her mind. Another peal of laughter tore from her lips, this one thick with satisfaction. Hanging up on Mason after that conversation had been nothing short of exhilarating. His reaction to everything she said? Utterly delicious. She had called him to tell him about her discovery. About where Eloise had been hiding, going ahead to tell him about Eloise's sugar daddy. Tamara's jaw nearly dropped to the ground when she saw Eloise get in the car with the man; Tamara doesn't know who the man is, but they both emerged from the company together. “ Is she dating another coworker?” she asked in shock. Eloise. Saint Eloise. Always so disciplined, well-mannered, acting like she’d never so much as flirt with a cockroach, not to talk of

Eloise’s jaw dropped. Disbelief coursed through her as she stared at the lady. Whispers from the employees echoed in her ears as her eyes moved to the HOD who was smirking and giving her a victorious smile. ‘ Why?’ She asked as she turned back to the lady who wouldn't look back at her. She's seen countless situations of sexual harassment, the majority refusing to speak up due to shame. Eloise clenched her fist tighter, ‘ there's no reason to be ashamed,’ she breathed heavily, but when she looked at the lady closely, she could tell she didn't lie out of shame. But why. Out of fear? She wondered how long this had been going on in this company. Eloise turned to Antonio, “ He did it, I don't know why she lied about it, but he did it,” she defended. “ Are you saying both I and the lady you accused me of harassing are lying?” The HOD said with a mocking smirk. Even though the lady was not asked, there's no way the boss would choose his assistant who hasn't spent up to a mon

It was such a big relief when it was finally Luther's turn to be attended to. Eloise took in a deep, refreshing breath as though Luther’s breath had poisoned the air. It made her skin crawl to have a man staring intensely at her, licking his lips, and undressing her with his eyes. “ Finally, the freak is gone,” Laera commented as she typed away at her desk, “ He's so disgusting, I mean…is there no law that says there's a limit at which you gawk at a girl?” Eloise asked with her voice laced with irritation. “ We might as well just make one ourselves if there's none,” Laera replied. Just then, Laera's phone beeped. Without looking away from the computer screen, she grabbed the phone, swiped, and froze. One glance at the message and she flung the phone onto the table with a grunt, pressing her palm over her face. Eloise turned, brows furrowed, watching her. Without a word, she reached for the phone to see what had sparked that kind of reaction, and immediately she saw the content,
