Chapter 4

Author: Cloudwalker
After getting a blood transfusion from me, Kaitlyn finally opened her eyes.

Aaron stopped frowning and hugged Kaitlyn tightly. “Thank heaven, I was so worried.”

The family was crying and laughing, and I was discarded at the corner like trash.

Kaitlyn saw me in the corner and said worriedly, “Is Elena okay? She looks sick.”

Aaron was scornful. “She did so many wrong things to you. Giving you her blood is her way of making it up to you. You’re really too kind; that’s why you’re bullied.”

My father followed up by saying, “Elena’s in great shape. If she didn’t die three years ago, she won’t die from losing a little blood.

The passersby were glancing at us. They were looking at me with sympathy.

“I don’t like hospitals. I want to go home,” Kaitlyn pleaded.

“Alright, alright. Let’s go home.” Aaron carefully carried Kaitlyn in his arms. When he passed by me, he kicked me with his leather shoes. “Stop feigning innocence. You’re the one who’s in the wrong. I’ll bring Kaitlyn back to rest. You can go home by yourself. I won’t go home tonight.”

Then they left.

I struggled to get up. The pain from the needles made me gasp.

“Be careful.” A strong arm helped me up.

After I stood up, I thanked the man who helped me.

I carefully looked at the man. He had really prominent features and curly black hair.

“Elena, I’m Andrew Edwards.”

“Edwards? Edwards Corporation?”

“You’ve helped me in the past. Even though it was nothing to you, I wanted to repay your kindness.”

“I… I don’t remember.”

“This necklace helped me to kick start my career. After I was successful, I got it back from the pawn shop. I was hoping that I would be able to return it to you.” Andrew took out a delicate diamond necklace from his pocket. At the back of the necklace, there was an engraving of my name. I had indeed given it away to someone before.

“You should divorce immediately and distance yourself from Aaron.

“I’ll arrange some bodyguards for you so no one can harm you again.

“I’m getting my people to collect evidence for you. You just need to take care of your health.”

Andrew arranged a blood transfusion for me. After I recovered, he sent me home.

  • A Farewell to Deceitful Love   Chapter 11

Andrew stayed by my side. With his constant company, we got a lot closer. The Edwards family and the Stance family were bonded by marriage. The news made waves in the country. We chose to hold the wedding on one of the small islands in the south. The scenery was very beautiful. I was wearing a diamond-studded veil as I walked determinedly toward my husband, Andrew. Before the priest, we made our vows. “From now until forever, whether in good or bad times, rich or poor, in health or sickness, happy or sad, I will always love you, cherish you, and be faithful to you, forever and ever.” “No!” A screech interrupted the sweet atmosphere. Aaron ran into the wedding as if he had exhausted all his energy. “How did you get in?” The security of this island was very strict. Everyone had to be verified before entering. “I swam here. It took me an hour! Do you know how desperate I felt in the ocean? But when I thought about you, Elena, I managed to persevere.”Aaron almost got

Aaron and Kaitlyn’s business plan did not go through. My father gave me a call after a long time of no contact. I answered the call as I wanted to hear about the drama. “You’re such a monster. You hurt Kaitlyn and betrayed Aaron. You’re the bane of our family!” I asked lazily, “How can I gain your forgiveness, then?”“Transfer your shares from Stance Corporation to Kaitlyn and her child. I heard you’re dating Andrew Edwards. Get him to send me funds to invest in a new project.” It was obvious that they were desperate and were no longer willing to put up a show. I took a deep breath and asked the question I had for a really long time. “Dad, in the past, you, Mom, and I were so happy together. Why did you cheat on her and have an illegitimate daughter?”My father was silent for a while. “Happy? The only happy ones were you and your mother. I never felt like I was included in Stance Corporation. I was always an outsider. I could only feel the warmth of a family from your stepmothe

Aaron and Kaitlyn were trying to scare me while waiting for me to beg for mercy. I held Andrew’s arm and left, ignoring the two clowns. Aaron felt embarrassed as he glared hatefully at me. He called over a waiter. “Bring me to the CEO. I have something to tell him.” The waiter looked at Andrew and then looked at Aaron again. After ensuring his eyesight was perfect, he respectfully said to Andrew, “Sir, someone is looking for you. Here he is.” “You’re telling me he’s the CEO?!” Aaron yelled agitatedly. The guests were all looking at us. “This is a scammer, he’s faking to be the CEO. You should get him out of here!” The guests were looking at Aaron as if they were looking at an idiot. They started murmuring. “Who’s he? I’ve never seen him before.” “I saw him talking to the CEO for a very long time. Now, he’s saying he doesn’t know the CEO. I bet he bought his invitation.” “I didn’t expect him to sneak in.” Aaron’s face turned pale. He stuttered, “Andrew, this is a mis

Kaitlyn’s tummy was showing, and Aaron was standing beside her. The four of us met again. The atmosphere was extremely tense. “Elena, you’re still with this scammer? He might scam you of your money.”I retorted, “Why are you here?”“The CEO of Edwards Corporation invited us here. We’ll discuss business dealings during this dinner. Once we succeeded, Stance Corporation would be nothing. I’ll bankrupt it.” “The CEO invited you?” Andrew repeated. It was obvious he sounded puzzled. “Yes, I’ll be a successful entrepreneur in the future. Elena, you must feel regretful.” Aaron looked extremely arrogant, with his arms resting on either side of his waist. “I’m here, aren’t I? Why would I feel regretful?” “I’m very clear where you and your corporation stand. You’re staying in the same neighborhood as I do, and you’re stalking my life. Once you learned that I’m joining this dinner, you exhausted all your resources in order to get an invitation here.” Andrew and I exchanged a glanc

I moved into the apartment I had before I got married. Unluckily, I bumped into Aaron on my second day there. Aaron slowly ruffled his hair and looked extremely arrogant. I asked coldly, “What now?”“In order to ensure I don’t completely forget about you, you actually moved to my neighborhood in the attempt to attract my attention.”“I bought this apartment before I got married. I didn’t know you lived here.” Aaron still firmly believed in his own assumptions. “I’m moving in with Kaitlyn. I have to take good care of her child. You shouldn’t bother her at all. Besides, even if you’re trying your best to get closer to me, I won’t spare a single glance for you.” I pulled out the sales purchase agreement of my apartment from my phone to show him. “I bought this apartment a very long time ago. It has nothing to do with you!” Aaron immediately left after hastily saying, “I’ll go back to take care of Kaitlyn now.” “Jinx!” I yelled at his leaving back. I did not want to bump into

Aaron widened his eyes and read the divorce agreement over and over again. He was in disbelief. “When did I sign this?”“Just now.”“You’re so despicable. You cheated and made me sign it! Is this man your lover?” Aaron did not give up. When I hesitated, Andrew nodded. “Elena and I are true loves. Please don’t bother Elena in the future, otherwise I won’t let you off the hook.”“Goodbye.” I no longer looked at Aaron. “Don’t go.” Aaron grabbed my hand. There was a hint of indistinguishable pleading in his voice. “This man is a scammer. I’ve known every person who is in the upper social circle after working for so many years, but I’ve never seen him before. He’s pretending to be a successful businessman by hiring a bunch of bodyguards.” Andrew’s expression darkened. The bodyguards exchanged glances and almost could not hold back their laughter. Upon seeing that, Aaron seemed even more smug. “Elena, as long as you go back with me, I can pretend nothing has happened.” “I’m no
