The spell had worn off several minutes ago but he’d tried to stay still long enough for the demon within him to recede back wherever the hell it’d come from. Chapter 18 “Shattered Hearts” Kyoko could feel the spirit dart rip through her chest with scalding heat. All sound stopped within the room as sporadic lightning flashed all around her… then the scream started.
