Chapter Three

XIENNE

A sudden flashback came up to my mind.

“You are beautiful, Xienne. But you know what? There is something with you that I didn't like,” said Samantha.

I looked at her. Did she approach me in my sit to say that thing? However, I just looked at her. I did not speak. I do not dare to fight back on the things they do. I don't have the courage.

She knew in herself that she could not get any answer from me. “You are also smart. There’s a lot of reasons to envy you. But you’re pathetic,” said Samantha.

I will never retaliate. Because revenge is only for people with narrow brains, the capacity of the mind is small. I am not that low. I won’t stoop down on their levels.

I was so annoyed when she hit my forehead with her index finger.

“What? Won't you say anything? Say something. Make me mad,” she said. Emphasizing every word that comes from her fucking mouth.

I stood up abruptly that created a loud irritating sound to the ears. They startled. A few seconds later, they all shouted.

“FIGHT BACK! FIGHT BACK! ” They chanted.

Tsk. I won’t satisfy you all. I will not fight back.

"Tsk. What a stupid fool," said Clark.

They are all waiting for my next move. I looked at Samantha who has a little smile on her lips. I exhaled heavily. Without doing anything, I left the room.

Cold water poured over me as I walked out the door. I ignored the coldness I am feeling and even managed to see who had poured me a weight of water.

It's Ace. He even laughed when he poured it on me. I heard my classmates laugh out loud. The students are looking at me now.

Why are they like this? Is this how college students think? They are like children. I wonder how big their brains are.

I wiped my tears. This is already too much. They are overdoing it. I was kind to them, I managed to be good at them even though it was hard and then they would repay me like this for my kindness. It's not right!

My mom was right, it is not good to be always nice and kind. Because others will abuse you. I went back into the room and grabbed my bag. I am going home. I walked quickly and ignored the guard who was calling my name several times.

It is not yet time to go out, I know. But because I was so annoyed and angry, I am ready to ditch my classes for today.

END OF FLASHBACK

That happened last year. Even I was very mad at that time, I still forgave them even if I did not hear even a single sorry from them before. They are not even sorry for what they are doing.

I do not know that I will also eat what I had said that I will not avenge no matter what happens. But I failed.

I was at a bar with my classmates. I was just forced to come along. They forced me. Why? Because they would not have a servant without me.

And also, I took this chance to take revenge. Now is the best time to repay Samantha who is now a bit dizzy.

I had been watching her for a long time now. I have been planning to kill her for a long time. I pretended to be another man and I sent her a message every day.

She had no idea that I was the one behind her secret admirer. I'm glad Samantha is a fool.

I took my phone from my bag and typed a message for her.

To Samantha:

“Meet me at the abandoned house near the mini stop grocery."

Soon as I sent the message, she grabs her phone from the table and giggled. Stupid.

“Guys, I need to go. Joshua wants to see me,” she said.

I rolled my eyes.

“Who’s Joshua?” asked Jen

Me. I am Joshua. Hmmm.

“Remember the guy I've been telling you? The one who texts me every day? I think this is my secret admirer. And I think he’s handsome. Do you know that? HAHAHAHA. His typings every time he texts me are always complete.”

Her friends laughed. “Okay, just be careful. Don't trust that man too much," said Kate.

Samantha nodded. I stood up. I am alone here in a corner. I no longer bothered to say goodbye to them. They also do not care, anyway.

I went out to her first. I hailed a taxi and was told to drop me at a nearby ministop. I even saw in the side mirror of the car Samantha coming out of the bar.

I received a text from her saying she’s on her way. I didn’t bother to type a reply.

I covered the hood of my jacket over my head. It is ten o'clock in the evening. I even checked in my bag to see if I was carrying the knife. When I looked at the driver in front of him, he glanced at me and seemed to have something to say.

"Why?" I will ask.

"Nothing, miss." Then he smiled at me. "I just wanted to ask if you are still studying?"

I nodded. “Yes. College student.”

He nodded slowly and smiled. “That is great. What course are you taking? ”

"Nursing." I proudly smiled.

A killer nurse. Cool, isn’t it?

"Good for you. You already know what you want then. My son is about to graduate from Senior High but he still does not know what he wants to get in college."

I guess that's how it really is. Many young people are not yet sure what they will get when it comes to college. Others do not know if it will be practical because of lack of money or get what they really want.

Others do not really know what they really want to be.

"Is that so? Let your child think about what he or she wants. Maybe he will know it soon. ”

He stopped talking and just smiled. I felt my cellphone vibrate in my pocket so I picked it up immediately.

From Samantha:

"Please, reply."

Tsk. Can't she wait? I just don't know if she can still be excited about what I will do to her later. The driver stopped the vehicle in the front of ministop.

I immediately paid for my pair and thanked him. "Take care, future nurse." I smiled at what the old man said. It almost melted my heart knowing that someone called me as a future nurse. In another word, he's looking forward that I will be one.

I do hope that his son will know what he wants to be as soon as possible. His Dad is already aging. I am sure that few more years, he can not go to work anymore.

I walked slowly towards the abandoned house. There are no people on this street. Houses are happened to be far apart and if anyone asks for help, no one will hear.

CCTVs are no longer working. The existing establishments here have long been abandoned by the owners.

Upon arrival, I immediately sent a message to Samantha saying that I was already here and waiting for her. I wonder what will be her reaction once she sees me here and not the Joshua she was expecting to see.

It is not my fault if she's too stupid. She is already the one facing her death. She's the one who came nearer to it and not the death itself. That is the problem for people who do not think wisely before doing anything.

She fell from my trap that I did not think that will really do. Any minute from now, her blood will scatter here at the abandoned house. No one will hear, no one will help and I think that is the best for me but worse for her.

See you in a bit, Dear Samantha.
