The Bad News
Isabella's POV
"Gabriel, stop!"
"YOU ARE MINE NOW!"
I snapped my eyes open and I began to pant in fear at the horrible nightmare I had. My entire body was soaked in sweat and the rays of sun radiating from the window shone across my face. I gulped a lump down my throat and sat upright. I looked over myself and that was when it suddenly clicked to me that none of that was a nightmare, they were just memories. Memories of everything that had transpired between I and Gabriel last night.
A drop of tears rolled down my cheeks as I recalled how Gabriel forcefully had sex with me last night, he kept yelling one thing that stuck like glue in memory. It was the fact that he kept claiming I belonged to him. It got me completely afraid. What had he meant by I was his?
The door to the small room suddenly opened wide and I hastily placed my hands over my chest to cover my naked body. Gabriel had aggressively ripped off my clothes last night and left me to sleep on the hard cold floor with no clothes on. I looked up to gaze at the culprit, it was an old lady dressed in a maiden outfit. She sighed heavily and smiled at me with a pitiful look directed at me. "Oh dear, you must be frightened." She rushed towards me with a towel clutched tight to her hands.
I bit my lower lip to stop myself from breaking down into tears but the look she gave me, it made me want to cry even more. I felt pathetic and the fact that I was naked made me feel like I had been stripped of my own dignity. It was hard to process.
"Let me help you. My name is Sandra and I am the head maiden of the Santos mansion." She introduced herself. I remaind quiet because I was reluctant about trusting anyone around here. Look what happened to me when I trusted Gabriel's boys. The story behind all of this was that Gabriel had gotten into a fatal accident and was rushed to the hospital where I worked, the moment I had set my eyes on him, I knew he was the one who killed my parents and took my brother as a captive, I could never forget his unique eyes.
I had the chance to kill him back at the hospital, Gabriel's life was in my hands for a brief moment yet I chose to save him because I wanted him to suffer the right way, I wanted him to slowly pay for his deeds but I planned to do all of that right after saving my brother.
After saving Gabriel, days later, his boys came around the hospital saying Gabriel wanted to honour the doctor who saved his life, I saw it as an opportunity to request for my brother's freedom but I was too stupid not to notice that I was indirectly walking into a trap.
I had blindly trusted Gabriel and his boys, now here I was, suffering for choosing to trust anyone.
"I know all of this is going to be hard for you to process darling but I need you to stay strong, I promise you that everything is going to be okay." The so called Sandra lady said, she paused to flash me a reassuring smile. Her hands reached for my shoulders and she rubbed them gently. It broke my heart entirely and at that point, I could no longer hold back the tears.
I allowed them flow down my cheeks as I broke into sobs. "I just want to go back home with my brother. Is that too much to ask for?"
"Oh dear." Sandra muttered. She went on her knees and pulled me into a tight embrace. Sandra allowed me to cry in her arms for what looked felt like hours when it was only just a few minutes. I felt better crying into her arms and afterwards, she helped me up my feet and wrapped a towel around my body.
"Now, let us get you cleaned up. Follow me." She said. I obeyed Sandra and she escorted me down the hallways. I got a lot of eyes staring at me from other staffs in the mansion, some of them made snickering noises while the others flashed me pitiful gazes.
Sandra led me into the elevator. We stopped at the third floor and she pointed at the first room on the left. "You can go in there, get dressed, clean up and meet me on the last floor, I will be up there waiting for you." Sandra said. I nodded my head in agreement at her and flashed her a grateful smile. "Thank you for helping me." I said in a low tone barely above a whisper.
Sandra waved at me and I watched her slowly disappear out of my sight. I hated to say this but as Sandra disappeared, I felt lonely and afraid. I felt like it was just me and Gabriel alone in the mansion regardless of the fact that there were several guards lurking around each floor.
I shrugged off the thought and did as Sandra had instructed. I showered and met some neat clothes already arranged for me on the bed. I changed into them and although they felt a bit too fitted but I did not have a choice, prisoners do not have choice.
I made my way to the last floor and just as she had explained, there was only one room on that floor. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. I stood by the door in shock, of course Sandra was there but so was the beast himself, Gabriel Santos.
I watched him hand a brown envelope to Sandra, she walked towards me and handed it over to me. I curiously ripped it open and read through the contents. It was a contract marriage proposal.
Two things about the proposal left me in utter shock.
One was for the fact that it was signed on my name, the other one was that the document was from five years ago.
In other words, the document legally meant I had signed a marriage proposal with Gabriel five years ago.
BTSAuthor's POV *FBI conference room *The next day, chief Bryant walked into the conference room where Agents Bruce Willis and Lee Hyung were waiting, due to his call."Gentlemen, I've got a new case for you," he said, his expression serious. "Agent Thompson was working on the Santos case as you all know, but she's...well, she's not herself right now. I'm handing the case over to you two."Agents Bruce Willis and Lee Hyung exchanged a look, their faces shocked ."What's the situation with Agent Thompson?" Agent Bruce Willis asked, his voice sad.chief Bryant hesitated, his expression concerned. "She's...unstable. We're not sure what's causing it, but she's not fit for duty right now. Let's focus on solving the Santos case and getting to the bottom of whatever's going on with her later."Agent Lee Hyung nodded. "We'll get to work on the case, Chief. What do we know so far?"chief Bryant handed them a thick file. "Everything's in here. Gabriel's connections, his dealings...it's
Medicine and twistAuthor's POV Few minutes later, Marco walked back to Isabella, his expression still neutral. "Isabella, I need to ask you something," he said, his voice firm but controlled.Isabella looked up at him, her eyes red and puffy from crying. "What is it, Marco?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper."Why did you do it?" Marco asked, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Why did you meet with the FBI agent?"Isabella's eyes dropped, and she shook her head. "I didn't have a choice," she said, her voice cracking. "I had to tell them what I knew. Gabriel's been involved in some shady dealings, and I couldn't just stand by and do nothing."Marco's expression didn't change, but his eyes seemed to bore into Isabella's soul. "You should have thought about the consequences before you acted," he said, his voice cold. "Now, you're going to have to face the repercussions of your actions."Isabella's eyes welled up with tears again, and she nodded slowly. "I know," she whispe
Dr Isabella Santos Agent Thompson's eyes narrowed as she scanned the documents, her mind racing with the happiness. "What is it?" she asked, her voice firm but intrigued."It's a series of suspicious transactions between one of Santos' subsidiaries and a shell company in the Cayman Islands," the team member replied. "It looks like they might be trying to hide something big."Agent Thompson's eyes widened as she read through the documents. "This is exactly what we've been looking for," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "Get me everything you can on this shell company. I want to know who owns it, where the money is going, and everything in between."As Agent Thompson dug deeper, Gabriel's team was working tirelessly to cover their tracks. But Gabriel knew it wouldn't be easy. Tomas had clearly planned this carefully, and the FBI was getting close.*Agent Thompson office *Agent Thompson was sitting in her office scanning through the Santos documents that was presented
Conspiracy Gabriel's eyes narrowed as he ended the call with Rodriguez. The FBI investigation was the last thing he needed right now, especially with the war with Ryder's crew escalating. He needed to think strategically and come up with a plan to mitigate the damage. He turned to Isabella, who was watching him with concern. "The FBI is investigating Santos Oil and Gas," he said, his voice low and even. "Rodriguez is handling it, but I need to get on top of this situation."Isabella nodded, her eyes understanding. "What can I do to help?" she asked.Gabriel smiled, appreciating her willingness to support him. "Just being here for me is enough, Bella," he said. "But I need to get moving. I have some calls to make and some fires to put out."He stood up, his movements fluid and purposeful. "I'll be back soon," he said, bending down to kiss her forehead. "Try to rest, okay?"Isabella nodded, watching as Gabriel walked out of the room, his phone already in hand. She knew that he w
Turns and Twist As the doctor finished examining Isabella that evening, Gabriel's grip on her hand remained tight. "How is she, doc?" he asked, his voice laced with concern. The doctor smiled reassuringly. "She's going to be fine, Mr. Santos. She just needs some rest and observation."Gabriel nodded, relief washing over him. "Thank you, doc. I'll make sure she's taken care of."As the doctor left, Isabella stirred, her eyes fluttering open. "Gabriel?" she whispered."I'm here, mi amor," Gabriel replied, his voice soft. "You're going to be okay."Isabella's gaze drifted to her belly, and Gabriel knew she was worried about the baby. "The baby's fine, Bella," he said, feeling her concern. "You're both going to be just fine."Isabella's eyes welled up with tears, and Gabriel pulled her into a gentle hug. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you," he whispered.Isabella's voice was muffled against his chest. "It's not your fault, Gabriel. It was an accident."Gabriel held her clo
A Moment of chaos Isabella's POV I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling as the darkness of the night surrounded me. I couldn't sleep, my mind racing with thoughts of the day's events. Gabriel's father's words kept echoing in my mind, his condescending tone and dismissive attitude towards me. And his way he revealed Fernanda's identity in high esteem had also left me scared. Was I truly good enough for Gabriel?I thought about Gabriel, about the way he had stood up for me against his father. About the way he had reassured me of his love and devotion. But doubts still lingered in my mind. Would he continue to love me? Would he choose me over Fernanda? As I lay there, I felt uncertain about my future and that of my unborn child. My life had changed so much since meeting Gabriel. I had become embroiled in his world, a world of mafia and power struggles. Was it safe? Was it worth it?I thought about our child, about the future we were building together. I wanted to give them a h
