Tamara's POV

I knocked on Dr. Laura’s door, my knuckles brushing against the smooth wood before I stepped back and waited. It wasn’t long before the door opened, revealing the kind, familiar face of the pack’s doctor.

“Tamara,” Dr. Laura greeted me warmly, stepping aside to let me in. “It’s good to see you. How are you holding up? And how’s… everything else?” Her tone was light, but I knew what she meant.

“I’m fine,” I replied as I entered, taking a seat across from her desk. “And by ‘everything else,’ if you mean my blood thirst, then it’s been under control.”

Dr. Laura raised a brow as she sat down, folding her hands on the desk. “Under control? That’s a big step. Tell me more.”

I leaned back in my chair, letting out a breath. “well, the urge to drink blood only seems to appear when I’m in danger or if I’m really provoked. It’s not like before when it would come out of nowhere. Now it feels… connected to something.”

“Interesting.” Dr. Laura tapped a finger against her chin. “T

Tamara's POV The palace seemed to feel too darn quiet when I returned and the emptiness I felt whenever Dante was gone settling over me like a heavy blanket. With no one else in my room, my thoughts swirled endlessly. Dr. Laura’s words about hearing thoughts, my anchor, and everything in between kept replaying in my mind. Could it really be true? Was I capable of something so… freaking unnatural? I found myself pacing by the window, staring out into the fading light of the evening. My nerves only calmed when I saw Dante’s silhouette in the distance. He was walking toward the palace, his stride confident and familiar, and my heart softened with the kind of warmth that only lovr can give. As soon as he stepped through the door, his eyes landed on me, and a warm smile spread across his face. “My love,” he said, his voice like a balm to my frazzled nerves. “You’re back,” I said, trying to keep the relief out of my voice. He stepped closer, his arms circling my waist as he pulled me

Tamara’s POV George stood stiffly in front of us, his face drawn and tense. Whatever he was about to say, I could tell it wasn’t good. My stomach churned as I leaned slightly against Dante, bracing myself. “The rumors are spreading,” George began grimly. “Some packs in the East are insisting that the North attacked them. And to make matters worse, they claim to have proof.” I frowned, my heart skipping a beat. “Proof?” “Yes,” George confirmed. “They’re using this so-called evidence to appeal directly to the northern elders for intervention.” I glanced at Dante, who had gone unnervingly still. His jaw clenched, his fists tightening at his sides. I didn’t even need to hear his thoughts to know he was seething. “The fucking elders?” Dante repeated, his voice dangerously calm. George nodded. “Yes, Alpha. They’re demanding the elders investigate the matter, and they’re claiming you’re trying to start another war.” I sucked in a sharp breath, the words hitting me like a blow to the

Adrian’s POV Jack leaned back in his chair, his arms crossed, his expression unreadable as I tried to explain—again—why I needed his help. “I’m not sure about getting involved, Adrian,” he said flatly. “this is going to far and I'm already risking too damn much.” My jaw tightened, frustration bubbling to the surface. “YOURE risking too damn much? You’re the one who ruined her life in the first place! The least you can do is help me get her back.” Jack’s eyes narrowed. “Watch it. I don’t owe you—or her—anything.” I scoffed, unable to hold back my irritation. “You’re still bitter, aren’t you? You can’t stand the thought of her being happy with anyone else because you’re still not over her.” Jack stiffened, his eyes flashing with anger. “I’m expecting a child with Kate. Do you really think I’m pining after Tamara?” “Yes,” I snapped. “Because it’s obvious. You say you’ve moved on, but every time her name comes up, you look like someone just punched you in the gut. Admit it, Jack. Y

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Adrian's deal

Adrian’s POV The knock at my office door came unexpectedly, sharp and deliberate. I frowned, setting down the glass of whiskey I’d been nursing. Visitors were rare these days, and the timing of this one was peculiar. “Come in,” I called, leaning back in my chair. The door swung open, revealing a man I hadn’t seen in years. Alpha Jonathan. His imposing figure filled the doorway, and his presence was as commanding as ever. The silver streaks in his dark hair only added to his air of authority. “Alpha Jonathan,” I said, rising to my feet. “To what do I owe this… surprise?” He stepped inside, his boots clicking against the polished floor as he closed the door behind him. His sharp eyes scanned the room before landing on me. “We need to talk,” he said, his tone curt. I gestured for him to sit, curiosity piqued. “By all means. What brings you here?” Jonathan took the offered seat but didn’t relax. His shoulders were tense, his expression grim. “It’s about Dante,” he said without pr

Tamara’s POV Dante had been tense ever since the court summons arrived. The accusation against him was too heavy, and although he’d tried to mask it around me, I could see through his every attempt to hide his frustration. He was on edge, pacing the halls, spending hours in his office, and sleeping less. This wasn’t like him. Dante was always calm, composed, and unshakable. To see him like this… it fucking hurt. I decided I’d had enough. If he wasn’t going to take a break on his own, I was going to make him take one. The plan was simple: distract Dante for a whole day. No office work, no border patrols, no strategizing. Just fun and relaxation. I wasn’t taking no for an answer. “Dante,” I called, standing in the doorway of his study. He was at his desk, leaning over some documents, his dark brows furrowed in concentration. “Hmm?” he grunted without looking up. I stepped inside and crossed my arms. “Get up.” His pen stilled, and he finally looked at me, his sharp green eyes na

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Court proceeding

Tamara’s POV The morning of the court hearing was heavy with tension. Dante had been uncharacteristically quiet as we got ready, his usual confidence dimmed by the weight of what was coming. I tried my best to stay calm for his sake, reminding myself that this was Dante—strong, capable, and always one step ahead of his enemies. But just as I was fastening the final clasp of my dress, a familiar voice rang through the palace halls. “Tamara?” I froze for a second, then rushed out of the room to see Sophie standing at the front door, her bright smile lighting up the grand entryway. “Sophie!” I exclaimed, hurrying down the stairs. “You’re back already?” She nodded, looking a little flustered but happy. “Yes. Nathan sent me back to resume my work.” I blinked, stunned. “Nathan sent you?” She laughed lightly, rubbing the back of her neck. “I know, it’s hard to believe, right? But he’s finally come around. He told me he understands how much my job means to me, and he’s decided to supp

Tamara’s POVThe courtroom buzzed with tension, the air thick as Lord Jarek droned on, hammering away at Dante’s reputation. his accusations were sharp and too deliberate, designed to paint Dante as a fucking dictator. My blood boiled with every word he spoke.I couldn’t sit still any longer. As Jarek raised his voice, calling Dante a threat to peace, I shot out of my chair.“I object!”The room fell silent. Every head turned to me, and I could feel the weight of a hundred shocked gazes. Even Dante looked stunned as I stepped forward and planted myself between him and the Elders.“Tamara,” Dante hissed softly, his voice low with warning. But I ignored him.“This entire trial is a farce,” I said, my voice firm as I looked directly at Lord Jarek. “You’re not here to seek justice. You’re here to destroy Alpha Dante’s reputation, and everyone in this room knows it.”The collective gasp from the council echoed like thunder.“Outrageous!” Lord Jarek snapped, his face reddening. “You dare a

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    What's wrong with me?

Tamara’s POV The early morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, painting golden streaks across the bedroom. I stretched lazily, already anticipating the hopefully not shitty day ahead. Today, I was heading to Alpha Jonathan’s pack to prove Dante’s innocence. There was no room for error. Sliding out of bed, I moved quietly, trying not to wake Dante as I grabbed my clothes and headed to the vanity. But before I could even finish brushing my hair, I felt strong arms wrap around my waist. “Where do you think you’re going?” Dante’s voice was husky, still thick with sleep, as he pulled me back against him. I rolled my eyes, smiling despite myself. “You know exactly where I’m going. Alpha Jonathan’s pack. I told you last night.” “You could stay,” he murmured, his lips brushing against my neck. “Just a little longer. The sun’s barely up.” I laughed softly, shaking my head as his kisses grew more insistent. “Dante, you’re impossible.” “Guilty,” he said, spinning me around to fac

My new room felt empty and lifeless. And I knew that it was because it was Missing the warmth Adrian’s presence had always brought me. I slumped on the bed before burying my face in my hands while desperately trying to calm my shaking breaths. “Luna Kayla! You're really back!" The door suddenly burst open, and Ingrid rushed in with relief brightening her eyes. “Oh, thank the Goddess! I was so worried. Kayla's POV "Dear goddess, please guide me in my endeavors." I prayed as I left the orphanage. My heart pounded violently as I carefully adjusted the hood over my head before pulling it lower over my eyes to hide my face from the palace guards that were patrolling the streets in search of me.I could hear them clearly— with boots crunching gravel, orders being barked urgently to find me, and my picture circulating among the crowd. These people were working day and night to find me.I almost barked out a dry laugh because the irony wasn’t lost on me. It seemed that Adrian had only realized my worth after I had already decided to leave. Just like Xavier had only wanted me after I was gone. Men. They only seemed to appreciate you when they were losing you. Taking a deep breath, I watched the guards carefully. I waited until one of them turned his back, distracted by a loud commotion from the nearby market, and then I quickly slipped past them, holding my breath until I reached the p

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Kayla meets. Caleb

Kayla's POV The door creaked as I pushed it open with a little dust puffing into the air. It was obvious that not a lot of people used this room. The space was small and cluttered. It was more of a glorified storage room than a real Library or archive of history. Shelves sagged under the weight of worn-out books, and loose papers were scattered across tables and floors like autumn leaves.Nothing was arranged or labeled, but I was supposed to somehow be able to magically find the books I was looking for. Great. I rubbed my temples, trying to decide where to even start. Then I heard a rustle. My head snapped to the corner, where a stack of books shifted ever so slightly. I took a cautious step forward. Someone was hiding there. My heart began to race. Was it those shadowed rogues? Had they tracked me here?Had I put the orphans in danger with my presence? “Hello? Who's there?” I called while reaching for my necklace in preparation for a fight. "I know you're there so you bett

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Kayla learns about Rina

Kayla's POV I literally couldn’t stop staring at the photograph. The picture had frayed edges and timeworn colors, but the woman in it, standing close to Adrian's fatger… she looked like me. No.. she looked a little Too much like me to just be normal. And It wasn’t the kind of resemblance you could shrug off as coincidence. It was the same eyes. The same shape of the mouth. Even the same stubborn, haunted expression. And to make matters even more confusing was the fact that Standing beside her with one hand gently resting on hers, was the man Elara had just told me was Alpha Dominic. Adrian’s father. How was this possible? What did this mean?My legs suddenly felt too heavy to carry me so I sat in the corner of the common room with the photo clutched in my hands, trying to make sense of it. “Elara,” I called quietly. The tall, broad-shouldered woman glanced over from where she was searching through the drawers for other things. She came over and lowered herself beside me. “La

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The founder of the Orphanage

Kayla's POV After breakfast, I insisted on helping the staff with chores—cleaning the tables, washing dishes, folding laundry. I needed to do something with my hands that would keep my thoughts from spiralling intodark thoughts.Plus I was eager to start helping the children as fast as possible. The funny thing was that the kids followed me around, asking questions about where I came from, if I had a wolf, if I’d ever seen the Alpha in real life. I smiled and answered as vaguely as I could, not ready to explain the chaos I’d run from. But for the first time in days, I felt a strange sense of peace.Like I was right where I should be. I was hanging laundry out back when one of the staff—Elara, a tall woman with sharp gray eyes and a strong build—approached me. “You’re quite the helper Miss Kayla,” she said, nodding with a basket on her hip. “I needed something to keep me busy,” I replied. She glanced around before adding, “You know, Lady Anna swears you’ve been here before.”

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    The orphanage

Kayla I ended up spending the night at the Orphanage and it was one of the most restful nights I've had in weeks.Sure, I might have had one or two night mares where I saw Adrian kissing Candice in her room while my body wrecked with painful sobs, but hey, it was better than the nightmares I usually had about the darkness that was trying to take control of me.I knew that I would finally be able to get rid of the problem when I finally get to the Oracle's sanctuary, but I just had to wait until the guards weren't searching for me so persistently. To be honest, I'm surprised that Adrian was putting that much effort into finding me now when he had been ignoring me for the last few days.Hadn't Candice satisfied him enough? Or was he so greedy that he wanted the two of us at the same time?Men! I should have known better than to let myself trust them again. Especially after how Xavier treated me.I had stupidly let myself become a fool for love again! How pathetic!I definitely won't le

  • A Luna of Ice : Reborn for vengeance    Kayla and the Orphanage again

Kayla's POV I really didn’t know where I was going at first. Not really. My feet just kept moving, dragging me farther away from the palace, from the pack... from Adrian. Every step felt more gut wrenching than the last, like my body wanted to turn back even though my heart refused to. Where do I go? I paused in the shadow of an old bakery, pressing my back to the cold brick wall as I hugged the jacket tighter around me. My breath was beginning to puff visibly in the cold evening air, and the wind cut through my clothes like icy knives.I would go to mountain, I finally decided. It was the only place I knew where I would be accepted by someone.I obviously couldn't go back to Xavier's pack but it was the only other place I knew, so the Oracle's sanctuary was my best vet.Plus If there was any place I could find answers—or strength—it was with her. Maybe I could even finish my training. Maybe I could finally understand why I was… this. Why I couldn’t control my power or trust my

After everything. After all his promises to always fight for me. To never let me feel alone again. He spent the night with her.Candice.It took one fight, one misunderstanding, and he ran straight to her. I didn’t even need to ask anyone. The moment Connor hesitantly told me the truth, I saw it. Clear as day. The shattered pieces of my heart lay scattered around the room like the vases I’d broken last night. The bed smelled like him. The sheets, the pillows — all of it haunted me. His scent, his warmth... gone. Just like that.“He was never going to choose you,” the necklace whispered in that low, silky voice that made my skin crawl. “Men like him choose women like Candice. Pretty, obedient. I asked in confusion.Candice smiled. "I can read your emotions on your face, and what I meant to say was Nothing interesting happened." I blinked blearily at her. "What...?" "You passed out last night after drinking that extra bottle I told you not to drink," she said simply. "I didn’t want the entire palace gossiping about how their great Alpha can’t hold his liquor so I brought you to the guest room in my quarters. I just brought coffee for you this morning." She gestured to the tray on the table. I let out a breath of relief. I didn't betray Kayla because nothing had happened between us
