~At this stage, couples can experience major challenges or setbacks in the relationship if healthy boundaries are not in place. Each mate should know the difference between independence and interference.~

Three knocks on their bedroom door rapidly stopped Hailey as she prepared to slip her feet into sparkling silver 5-inch heels. It was her second interruption while getting dressed for their outing tonight.

“Rome, I’m almost finished.”

“I don’t want to rush you, but we have reservations.”

Crossing the carpeted bedroom, she opened the door. Rome stood before her in a dark blue suit, white shirt, and blue and white silk tie. Hailey had to admit that her thirty-four-year-old husband cut a very handsome figure in tailored attire.

Rome smiled, shaking his head. Hailey knew he was pleased, it’s his usual reaction when she gets dolled up. But it would be nice if he would just say what he felt about her appearance, especially on special occasions like this one.

"Wait?" Bridgette stopped to think about last night. It all was quite shocking to her too, since she didn't think of being with a Hispanic man or having him as a partner, it wasn't anything personal. Usually, they are just out of her sight, thus being out of her mind. But it must have been something about this guy that got her in this precarious predicament."I don't mind having breakfast with you. But can I go home and change? That will give you a chance to freshen up." Rome stands there listening to her sexy way of speaking. Bridgette looks at her watch. "So let's meet in the next 30 minutes downstairs in the hotel restaurant?""Sounds great! I'll see you in 30 minutes." Rome says, bowing as she leaves the room, as they both smile, attracted to one another.Brunch in the Hotel:The hostess smiles, directing Rome over to a table that was accompanied by a fantastic view of the city. He sat there waiting, looking debonaire. Wearing a striped white, gray, and black linen jacket. With

  • A Marriage Without Boundaries   Stage 101 - A blurry Day:

~ A Reflection~How much alcohol had it taken to get Rome where he couldn't entirely lift his head off the pillow? It was a good starter question. Something like this has never happened to him. Whose warm body was this sleeping next to him? He was divorce and had no wife. So who was she? That was an even bigger unanswered question! The feel of soft flesh made him smile in his sleep. This scene was a great reminder of how much fun Rome had last night.Rome couldn't remember a thing. He struggled to open his eyes. The memory of what happened between him and the layon next to him was a dream. Just knew all of this, including his thoughts, had to be a dream or a figment of my mind. He finally forced his glued eyelids apart, blinking from the burn he felt in his eyeballs. With each blink, he sees creamy skin and a pretty face. Closing his burning eyes again, telling his brain to relax and focus. He opens them again, and all he sees is, excepti, onally, long, red hair sprawled all over the

Rome had dealt with enough women to know them. He could tell the type he liked right off without a word. He was giving her that coy smile of his. She flashed a cordial smile back at him. “I owe you that rain check, right?” Rome's eyes were peering and staring at Bridgette."Don’t look at me like you're sweet and innocent. You're not fooling anyone but your dad. You’re not sweet.” Rome says as his eyes narrow sexily at her."I think we should start over.” "I just might do that," Rome says as their eyes stay locked on one another, flirting. She turned away first, breaking their eye contact, to conveniently look away. “Let’s go.” Fifteen minutes later, they ended up in the city at a nightclub. Swish, swish, swish! As she walked to the dance floor, Rome almost got whiplash watching her hips move. Those hips and her very whole backside. Her dress had the pleasure of hugging, leaving him with no choice but to want to hug it too.Rome noticed her soft hands accompanied by long, polis

She chuckled slightly, thinking about how silly they both were that night. But the laughter faded when she recognized him as the same man at the club—he was supposed to be a one-night stand. But he had left her feeling amused and confused. It was as if the universe had a twisted sense of humor, pairing her with a man she had already met, albeit under less formal circumstances. When he finally approached her, Bridgette felt the urge to burst into laughter again, but curbed that urge swiftly. He was just as charming in daylight, with his tousled hair and boyish smile that somehow seemed familiar and completely foreign. “Bridgette, right?” he asked, offering her a polite nod.“That’s right...” she replied, her voice steadier than she felt. They exchanged greetings, each holding a hint of something they both tried to conceal. The dinner progressed as both families sat together, and they danced around the fact that they’d met before. Bridgette tried to focus on what her parents were sayin

“Father, I've asked you, please try not to marry me off to a complete stranger.”“Bridgette, he won’t always be a stranger.”“Who is this man? Look, whoever he is, I'm not interested in arranged marriages.”“So, will you just be single for the rest of your life?! Bridgette, the way you've been handling men isn't right!”“Mom, could you please tell Dad I would appreciate it if he dropped the whole subject? If I'm meant to be in a relationship, then it will happen.”“But how, Bridgette?" Her mom asked, deeply concerned.“I don't know how, mother. But I don't want to marry this way.”"It's our way! This is how we do things in the Reed family!" Her father yelled.******Bridgette Reed sat on the edge of her bed, the dim light filtering through the lace curtains casting intricate shadows on the floor. She stared at the ornate dress that hung limply from its hook, a supposed symbol of joy and celebration. Yet, for her, it was nothing more than a yoke, a heavy chain tethering her to expectat

  • A Marriage Without Boundaries   Stage 97 - Dream Come True

A week later, Bridgette and her parents had a huge fight. Why? Because Bridgette refused to marry for the third time. They had given her time to fall in love with Jake Sullivan, and she didn't.
