Chapter 9
My eyes fluttered open as the sun came through the window, I don’t know how long that I was asleep, but Dimitri was nowhere to be found. I started to freak out again and just as I started to panic, Dimitri walked through the door with a tray full of food. I tried to calm my nerves, but it didn’t seem to be working Dimitri sat the tray of food on the table by the bed coming over sitting down next to me.

Aphrodite walked me around the mansion showing me all the unique things that she liked to do the one thing that caught my attention was the library. It was as large as a whole library back at my hometown, by the time she had walked me around the whole mansion we ended up back at Dimitri’s mother’s office. I don’t know how long I was asleep because when I woke up the tub was cold, and my skin was pruning. I stood up reaching over grabbing the towel from the rack and making sure I wrapped it around my body. But when I got to the bedroom the pain in my stomach started again but then it started spreading outwards. “DIMITRI HELP PLEASE” that was the only thing I could get out of my mouth before Dimitri came running in the room with his sister and mother. They looked at each other then Dimitri said something, but I couldn’t make out what he was saying the pain was starting to become too much. His sister ran back into the room with a syringe and that is when I felt a pinch in my neck, I looked up at Dimitri and he just smiled at me, “Just give it a minute Vic I promise the pain will be gone.” I just laid there with my head in Dimitri’s lap waiting for the pain to dissipate. Once the pain subsided, I realized I was still in my towel, I could feel the redness starting to creep onto my cheeks.

I could hear the voices surrounding me but I couldn’t open my eyes it was like they were glued shut. “Aphrodite, I told you to take the damn guards for a reason. We laid down there for awhile watching movies just spending time together at some point we ended up falling asleep. I don’t know how long we were asleep for, but Dimitri ended up waking us up and when I looked out the window it must have been early because it was sunny out. “What time is it?” He looked at me like I was crazy, “You guys have been asleep all night!” I looked over at Cleopatra and she just shrugged her shoulders at me, “Well, we better get up and get ready mama found some stuff about your mother she messaged me last night about it.” I looked at Dimitri, “Really, please tell me this isn’t a joke?” He just started laughing, “Vic, go get ready and meet us in mom’s office!” I never jumped up so fast in my life, I ran out of the theater and straight up to my room I just grabbed a t-shirt and some jeans with some shoes. Aphrodite left me in the room to get into some comfortable clothes knowing that I needed to change so that I was comfortable. I look at the clock on the wall and it was about time to head down for dinner, I looked around to make sure that all the bags were packed and ready to go. Once I seen that I had all the bags that we packed I headed downstairs and into the dining room. I entered and seen that everyone was waiting for me, “I am so sorry I thought dinner was going to be later!” Cleopatra just smiled at me, “It is ok dear, we just got down here a little early is all!” I went over and sat down and looked at my plate and it kind of looked like a cordon bleu. I looked over to Dimitri and he just shook his head nodding towards Aphrodite, “Is this homemade cordon bleu Aphrodite?” She just shrugged her shoulders at me, before giving me a smile. Once we all got into our hotel rooms, I immediately threw my stuff on the bed, I looked over at DImitri and Aphrodite and they were talking among themselves. I cleared my throat so that they would look at me and I would not seem like I was being rude at all. They both turned towards me, “Can we go start looking for her now?” Aphrodite just started laughing at me before shaking her head, “Ya give me a second to use the restroom ok!” I started jumping up and down I couldn’t believe that I would hopefully meet my real mother today. Dimitri I watched as Theia was trying to explain to Victoria that their were some things she wasn’t allowed to discuss with her because of a blood oath to her mother. Victoria was so hopeful when she came here but she found out that this woman is her aunt. I know Victoria well enough to know that this crushed her, Theia was trying to explain to her as much as she could without dieing from the blood oath but she wasn’t giving Victoria much information to go on right now. I could see that she was getting frustrated by it, she eventually yelled at her and got up and walked out of the secret room. I laid listening to Dimitri’s heart, while he gently stroked my hair, “Vic, we need to get you up off the floor, did you want to take a shower and then we can get something to eat, and we all can talk?” I just nodded my head he got up helping me to my feet before turning the shower on for me, “I will have Aphrodite bring your clothes in, I will run and get us some food that way it is waiting on you when you get out ok.” He went to turn around and leave, “Dimitri, my stomach is starting to hurt again, the medicine doesn’t seem to be helping anymore.” I could see the fear in his eyes, but he soon relaxed, “Take a shower and we will be waiting in the room for you ok.” I just nodded my head; he left me in the bathroom, and I stripped out of my clothes. I felt the water to make sure that it was at the right temperature before getting in, once I got in the shower, I soaked in the water a little bit before washing up.
