HENDRICK’S POSSESSION

I pushed the door behind me close as I rested my back on it. Gasps escaped my mouth and Kalo seemed to see that I wasn’t okay. He wasn’t crying anymore. “Mama,” reaching her hand to my face.

“Hey,” I softly said forcing out a smile, staring at the precious creature before me. I could have had mine, he could have been seven years old by now. Maybe he was a girl? But a boy was going to be better. At least he wouldn’t have to suffer like I was. He would have huge body, able to protect himself along with his friends. The world would be a little gentle with him. All these thoughts flooded in my head.
