Maya’s P.O.V

The anticipation was killing me. The suspense.

‘Could all be real? Could they be separating?...but why would my mother bring a stranger to our home? No matter how much she wanted to move on, or hate my father, she would never allow such a situation. She’d rather just sneak around. What if he is here as a distraction?’

“So, you are saying my father is what dead, and my mother lives with a man I know nothing off, sharing the same bedroom. So you are telling me that they are sharing my father’s bed, in my father’s chambers? You are really not taking this situation, me seriously!” I was beginning to fume.
