My fingers tightened in a fist but I held back. Dropping my face to the ground, I mumbled, “Sorry.”

“Don’t hit other people, Ara!” Leila scolded.

Ara stepped back.

“Oh, I also asked Ara to bring one of our most precious artifacts from our pack.” Leila smiled and took a seat, followed by Lucinda.

She peeked over Lucinda’s shoulder to look at me, “August, will you bring it out of that box, please?”

She pointed at the small box at the table. I pressed my lips tightly, and nodded my head. As much annoyed and angry I was, I had much important matters at hands now.

Walking over, I grabbed the heavy box and brought it to their table. I bent down on the ground on my knees to open it. Opening the top of the box, I pulled out the piece that was quite heavy. It was something made of glass. Something very precious clearly. Just as I was just pulling it out, something clicked in my mind.

Although this house was new, Alpha had already given it to Leila the day she had come here. Her servants were
