"You look like shit," Aria stated the moment I unlocked my bedroom door for her. She had a plate of pancakes, eggs, and a cup of coffee in her hands.

I didn't get much sleep after Quinlan left; I just kept tossing and turning on the bed. Everything about him, including his voice, his eyes, and mostly his heated touch, left me wanting more from him. It was the need to have him close to me that made it impossible for sleep to come my way. The desire to lay on his chest engulfed me, and his strong arms just tightened the insides of my chest.

"Thank you for saying the obvious," I responded with a bored tone, walking back to the bed. I plopped down like a sack of potatoes, landing face-first on the soft material.

"What happened yesterday? I thought you got pretty hurt from that nasty throw by the asshole alpha." She placed the breakfast on my bedside table.
