CHAPTER 7: TIME OUT

LILITH’S POV:

Sleeping in a cell is a very uncomfortable experience.

From the chilling draft coming from only goddess knows, to the cold hard wet floors, the leaking ceiling and the roaches and rodents that casually pass by me; every bit of it is horrible.

I’m used to adapting to the worst of situations due to the nature of my job, but I never appreciated moments like this. I could, however, live with them, knowing my plans were falling into place.

In this situation, however, with my plans all ruined, none of this is worth anything.

I’m cranky as hell and the sound of the gates leading to this dungeon wing being pulled open echoes down the hall to my cell room and has me waking up with annoyance.

I really want to scream their ears off until I see who it is. I first notice the very familiar annoying snicker from the entitled bitch herself, Yvonne.

“Well, well, well…” she begins like every evil villain does, having had an upper hand on their victims.
