Noah
As soon as I laid eyes on Lily, something shifted within me. It was like the world around us dimmed, and all I could see was her. Her presence was magnetic, drawing my attention like a moth to a flame. We were at the dinner table, my mother, my brother Ethan, and me. But as hard as I tried to focus on the conversation, my gaze kept drifting back to Lily."Pass the salt, Noah," Ethan said, breaking through my trance.I nodded absentmindedly, handing him the salt without tearing my eyes away from Lily. She was chatting animatedly with my mother, her smile illuminating the room. I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to hear her laugh, to see her eyes light up with joy."Is everything alright, Noah?" My mother's voice brought me back to reality.I blinked, realizing I had been staring for too long. "Uh, yeah, everything's fine," I replied quickly, hoping they hadn't noticed my distraction. But deep down, I knew that everything was far from fine. Lily had captivated me in a way I couldn't explain. It was like I was under some sort of spell, unable to tear myself away from her."So, Noah," my mother began, "did you hear about the new neighbors moving in next door?"I seized the opportunity to subtly inquire about Lily. "No, I hadn't heard. Who are they?""They're a young couple," my mother replied, glancing at Lily briefly before continuing, "I think their names are Rielle and Mark. They seem quite nice."Riells and Mark. The name echoed in my mind absent-mindedly. I wanted to know more about Lily, everything she did. But how could I without seeming too obvious?"Are you interested in meeting them, Noah?" Ethan asked, raising an eyebrow.I shrugged nonchalantly. "No," I said, bluntly. My mind was elsewhere, consumed by thoughts of Lily. I knew that I had to find out more about her, to unravel the mystery behind those enchanting eyes and as the evening wore on, I couldn't shake the feeling that she was meant to be a part of my life in some way.An hour later, As I stepped into the laundry room, my heart quickened its pace. Lily, the woman who had captured my heart, was here. I couldn't help but feel a surge of excitement mingled with a hint of nervousness. I had been searching for her for what felt like an eternity, and now, here she was, right before my eyes.I watched her from the corner of the room, hidden in the shadows, as she gracefully folded clothes. The soft glow of the overhead light illuminated her features, highlighting the delicate curve of her jawline and the way her hair cascaded down her back in gentle waves. She was truly a sight to behold, and in that moment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe wash over me.As I observed her, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was intruding on a private moment. Yet, I couldn't tear my gaze away. There was something mesmerizing about the way she moved, each motion deliberate yet effortless, as if she were performing a delicate dance.Lost in my thoughts, I almost didn't notice when she spoke, her voice breaking the silence like a gentle melody."Is someone there?" She asked, her tone soft yet tinged with curiosity.Startled, I hesitated for a moment before stepping out from the shadows. "It's me, Noah," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. Her eyes widened in surprise as she turned to face me, a faint blush creeping into her cheeks."Noah," she repeated, her voice barely more than a breath.I took a step closer, unable to resist the magnetic pull that drew me to her. "I've been looking for you," I admitted, my heart pounding in my chest.A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she continued to fold the clothes in her hands."I've been here all along," she said, her gaze meeting mine.I couldn't help but feel a surge of relief wash over me at her words. For so long, it had felt like I was searching for something elusive, something just out of reach. But now, here she was, right in front of me, as if she had been waiting for me all along.Without another word, I closed the distance between us, reaching out to gently brush a stray lock of hair from her face. She leaned into my touch, her eyes sparkling with emotion. In that moment, as we stood there together in the quiet solitude of the laundry room, I knew that I had finally found what I had been searching for all along. And as I looked into her eyes, I knew that I never wanted to let her go.“I… I should go.” She stuttered out suddenly.I released her, watching her go. As I stood there, watching Lily walk away from me, a sense of emptiness settled in my chest. It was like a piece of me was being torn away with each step she took, leaving behind a void that seemed impossible to fill. I couldn't help but feel a pang of regret and sadness at the thought of her leaving my side."Wait," I wanted to call out, to beg her to stay, but the words caught in my throat, choked by the weight of my own insecurities and doubts. Instead, I stood there silently, watching as she disappeared into the distance, her figure growing smaller and smaller until she was nothing but a distant memory. But even as she left, I made a silent promise to myself. A promise that no matter what happened, no matter where life took us, I would always look out for her. Because in that moment, I realized that she wasn't just someone I cared about; she was a part of me, woven into the very fabric of my being. And I would never let her go."I'll always be here for you, Lily," I whispered to the empty air, hoping that somehow she could hear me, even though she was miles away."No matter what happens, I'll never stop caring about you. You're a part of me now, and I'll do whatever it takes to protect that."And with that silent vow, I turned away from the empty laundry room, knowing that no matter what the future held, I would always hold a special place in my heart for Lily.LilyI closed the door to my room behind me, my mind still reeling from the encounter with Noah. The words he had spoken echoed in my head, refusing to fade into the background like I wished they would. "You are here," he had said, his voice tinged with a mixture of excitement and disbelief. But why? Why would he tell me that? I barely knew him.Sinking onto the edge of my bed, I tried to make sense of it all. Noah was practically a stranger to me, yet his words had stirred something deep within me. There was a familiarity in his eyes, a sense of connection that I couldn't quite explain. It was as if he had been a part of my life for far longer than I realized. As I sat there lost in thought, I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to Noah than met the eye. His mysterious aura, coupled with his cryptic words, left me with more questions than answers. What did he mean by I was here? And why did it feel like there was some unspoken bond between us?Lost in my thoughts, I didn'
Lily. The morning sun streamed through the bathroom window, casting a warm glow across the tiled floor as I eased myself into the soothing embrace of the bathwater. The gentle scent of lavender filled the air, and for a moment, I allowed myself to forget about the world outside and simply enjoy this moment of peace but as I settled deeper into the water, my thoughts inevitably turned to the undeniable truth that lay beneath the surface of my skin.My hand instinctively drifted to my abdomen, where the subtle curve of a baby bump was beginning to make itself known. It was still small, barely noticeable to anyone but myself, but with each passing day, it seemed to grow more pronounced, a silent testament to the life that was growing within me and with that realization came the sudden rush of emotions that I had been struggling to contain.Tears welled up in my eyes as I traced the outline of my bump, feeling the weight of the unborn child resting there. I knew that soon, everyone would
Noah. I couldn’t stop thinking about my mother’s new maid. Everytime I glanced at her, it just seemed like she had the answers to all of my problems, like she had this peace I had been looking for for a very long time. Heck, I couldn't even get her out of my mind and with every minute that passed, stuck in this same house with her, I was slowly losing my mind.I wanted to feel her, wanted her very close to me so that i could hold her in my arms as she assured me that everything was going to be fine. I didn’t know what had gotten over me but I knew it was a sudden attraction towards her. There was just something about her that told me that she was a woman who needed to be cared for and when it came to do, I would do that without any hesitation.“What has gotten into you?” Ethan asked, barging into my room.I glanced up from mindlessly scrolling through my phone as I watched him take the seat opposite my king-sized bed. I knew what he meant and I wasn't sure I even had the answers to t
LilyHumming to myself, I had no idea I was being watched. My duty that day was to make sure that the kitchen was spotless even as I tried to make sure that everything was in place. Mrs Donovan would be having some guests over later on and I wouldn't want Chris to have a hard time locating where each item should be.“I told you Lily, you need to take more rest. I really don’t want you doing this.”I turned towards the direction of the voice to see Mrs Donovan walking towards me with a small smile on her face. She had told me times without numbers that I should learn to take some rest but how could I do that when things seemed to be in place.“Okay, I promise. As soon as I'm done with this, I'll take that rest. She hugged me gently before walking away, leaving me to continue my work. I knew she meant well for me but at times, her over protective nature had me worried because i didn’t want to let her down. She held me in high esteem and letting her down will no doubt break the trust she
LilyThe night seemed endless, stretching on with each passing minute as I lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to find solace in sleep. My mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions, all stemming from one source: Noah. His touch lingered, haunting me with memories of how he held me earlier in the kitchen. It was a fleeting moment, yet it left an indelible mark on my consciousness.I knew I needed to distance myself from him, for my own sake and for the sake of my unborn child. The realization of my pregnancy had already brought a myriad of uncertainties into my life, and the last thing I needed was to complicate matters further by indulging in feelings that could only lead to trouble. But as much as I tried to convince myself of the necessity of staying away from Noah, the pull of his presence was undeniable. There was something about him that drew me in, something magnetic that defied reason and logic. Perhaps it was the kindness in his eyes, or the gentleness of his touch, or
LilyLater that evening, Mrs. Donovan called me over, and as she sat me down beside her, I couldn't shake off the growing anxiety creeping up within me. There was an unusual seriousness in her posture that made me wonder what she wanted to talk about. I sat there, fidgeting nervously, trying to prepare myself for whatever was to come.Suddenly, Mrs. Donovan broke the silence, her voice cutting through the tension in the room. "Lily," she began, her gaze fixed on me, "I've noticed something, and I wanted to talk to you about it."My heart skipped a beat, and I braced myself for what she was about to say. "Yes, Mrs. Donovan?" I replied, trying to keep my voice steady despite the nervousness swirling inside me."Is there a problem between you and Noah?" She asked, her question catching me completely off guard. I felt myself freeze, my mind racing as I struggled to come up with a response. How did she know? Was it that obvious?"I… I don't..." I stuttered, unable to find the right words.
Lily“So, Lily, I would like you to do something for me.” Mrs. Donovan said. She called me into her home office the following day and standing in front of her, I felt nervous because I didn't know why she had called me here this morning when it was only yesterday evening we had talked. I found it odd because this just told me that there was something she wanted to discuss with me, something I didn't know about.“Okay, what is that, ma’am?” I asked.“Please sit down,” she said.Taking a seat opposite her, my nervousness shot up to the roof because whatever it was, it had to be serious and I didn't think I was ready to hear any of that.“I need a favor from you,” she said.“Of course, ma’am, anything at all. I am ready to help you.”She didn’t even need to ask me if there was something I needed to do for her. What she had done for me was far more than anything I could ever do for her and I didn't want her to think that she needed to beg me before I did anything for her. I did what I did
Noah“Oh, welcome darling. Lily should be down soon.” My mother smiled, kissing both my cheeks.“What? She agreed to do this?” I asked. When I had told my mother about it, I didn't think that Lily would even agree to do something like that, especially with the history between us and imagine my surprise when my mother told me this.“It had to take a lot of persuasion and begging, dear. So, don’t make her feel frightened.”“Lily is frightened by me?” I asked.I felt bad at that moment because that wasn’t what I had intended. Now, I felt terrible to have scared her this way and I knew she wouldn’t even have any trust for me anymore. Who would when most people practically had to walk on eggshells around me?“Who wouldn’t be frightened by you when you practically have a scowl on your face every minute,” Ethan said, walking into the house.“Now… Now boys, I don't want you bickering with each other. Ethan, go find something to do.” My mother laughed.“Mom, but you know it's the truth which m
