“....So you actually think that Noah is having some problems with his supposed girlfriend which is why they haven’t arrived all these days?” Monica said.

I walked in on her and Chris having this conversation and immediately, my mind went to Noah. I wanted to hear more about it and from the look on Chris' face, I had a feeling that something wasn’t quite right.

“Oh there she is, good thing you are here,” Monica said.

“What’s going on?” I asked, placing the empty plate of fruit Mrs Donovan had just eaten in the sink.

“Chris here is of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with Noah and his girlfriend but I am against that because I have a feeling that something is going on and Mrs. Donovan, if you have noticed, isn't happy about it.”

“But what exactly could be going wrong?” I asked.

I sat there, perched on the edge of my seat, my attention fixed on Chris as he delved into the details of his conversation with Monica. His words floated in the air, each syllable carrying weight, as
