Especially Memories

There is a sense of regret and resignation on Olivia's way home, she ponders how she could have acted that foolishly, how could she have lived with such foolishness, and how could she have lost everything, including her life, family, and hope? She hoped that she would finally get married to Kin and be free from her stepmother's salt and pepper, that was what made her believe that she was going to finally get married to Kin. The hope she had made her believe that finally her hard life would be able to come to an end and her hope made her think that she had a way out, but she was mistaken.

But now that she thought of it, she deserves it all. In her hand is her month's pay and today is the first day she started the job, and she won't be going again. She has been fired.

“Are you Olivia Williams?”

Shaking from the news that she heard from the couples at their table, Olivia is still confused to reply with a shaking voice

“Yes.”

“I can guess from your hair and dressing that you are the one from the news.” Olivia looks at the woman seated, knowing what might be coming out next.

Without waiting for her reply, the woman continues, “Anyone who gets involved with the Gatherers family is a goner, and I am just an owner of a small restaurant.” The woman stops and peeps at Olivia, who stands all ears.

She takes this as her clue to continue. “You see, I used to run it with my husband before he became illamd pass away.”

Olivia could tell the woman was trying hard not to cry, but her voice was cracking, and she was starting to choke on her words.

“We are letting you go.”

“But….but the news is just casting a misunderstanding and I can resolve it, but please don't send me away.”

“I can't.” The woman yells, suddenly getting serious.

“I can't help it, this is help that I am helping you, just in case you don't know. Once they find out you work here, it will affect my restaurant and that family is full of bad temper people.”

“Can you please let me resolve it first?” Olivia begs, already on her knees, tears dropping from her eyes freely.

She knows that in town she can't find a job that will pay like this one.

All the others she tried were not interested and now, with her luck, it is her turn to get fired. She just hopes that someone else can fix it for her. And it looks like no one else will do it because no one else cares.

“Please.” The woman looks at her, then shakes her head.

“No, sorry miss.”

Olivia stands up slowly as she wipes away the last tears from her cheeks.

"Okay thank you so much. I'm gonna go." She turns around heading outside but the woman stops her before going too far,

"Oh, and I forgot.". "I will pay you for this month."

Seeing the envelope in Olivia's hand, she wipes her tears, thinking hard she knows if she doesn't resolve this misunderstanding, the damage will become too severe, and she got involved with the Weitheimers, her father is going to kill her because she heard her father just last month talking about getting one of her stepsisters to marry one of the Weitheimers, and that partnership with that family took some time. In addition, she must apologize to the Wertheimer family for the misunderstanding and explain that none of their sons are responsible for her pregnancy.

Even if she still has her doubts Kin is responsible for her baby.

"Olive!"

She looks up and sees Kelvin and Tracy on the other side of the street waving at her course no one else calls her by that name unless it is them. She quickly looks her right and left and cross the road. "Cover that hair of yours," Tracy says and covers Olivia's hair with a scarf.

"Are you okay? We were coming to you." Kelvin says.

"I saw the news and got worried, I left work and call Kelvin over, you left work early why?"

"I heard the news from some people in the restaurant and they mentioned my name since the news is spreading so fast my boss cut me off. "

"Awww! That's bad"

"But at least they gave me a payment plus a bonus, Olivia says waving the money at Tracy with a smile.

"That's insulting!"

"I just want to live normally like now."

"Don't worry, the news only caught your hair and clothes if you can just keep the scarf on you will be safe only smart people will know."

"But how did they only get your hair, girl, you looked like a crazy woman in that picture."

The three move to a black van that belongs to Kelvin, he recently got it for the delivery job he wants to start, Olivia and Tracy move to the back where there are four seats and Kelvin moves to the driver space.

"I fell and my hair got messed up, I guess it was a good thing."Tracy laughs and Olivia joins her, even if her face hurts when she smashes it on the floor that day, it saved her today.

"Why will you do now?" Kelvin asks focusing on the door seeing that these two are silent he adjusts the rearview mirror and looks into it.

"Stop being serious," Tracy says tapping on Kelvin.

"He is right, I have to do something at least maybe an apology."

"An apology!?" Tracy and Kelvin both exclaim and question together.

"Yes, I made a terrible mistake and I need to apologize."

"That will be difficult," Kelvin says.

Olivia agrees. Tracy suddenly taps her hand in the air like someone who got an idea "But this is a good thing right, with the Weitheimers family you won't have to worry about your child."

Kelvin from the front hissed at his sister, he will like to tell her that she is playing stupid, Maximum Weitheimers can't be played, once he finds out that the child is not his, he will spread off over the place, in his business world, his partners don't dare to cheat him not to talk of a child and a woman.

It is true, she knows that that family is rich and she won't worry about her child but she doesn't want to do bad kinds of stuff.

"We can't mess with Maximum Weitheimers," Tracy says taking back her word and throwing her head back in frustration.

"Thank you."Olivia sighs and wipe the drop of tears falling from her eyes.

"Arrrrrgggg! Don't tell me you are crying now, it gonna be okay." Tracy screams and pats Olivia's back.

Olivia sniffs and rubs her face "Have you heard anything on Kin?"

"Olivia I think something is wrong, your step-sister Mackie is getting engaged and the event took place at the Kin family's house and they don't seem to be worried so far, the family is doing fine."

"Are you serious?" Tracy asked pained.

Olivia looks at the window and leans her head, could this be a prank or a joke on her? She can't even remember having sex for this child, that day Kin only claim that they were both drunk so she can't remember what happened and decided to forget it.

Maybe she is wrong to get angry and upset over this, she never really felt love before so she couldn't know anything.

Suddenly she felt a soft kiss on her forehead, looking at Kelvin he smiles, and he looks at Tracy who is smiling too. She can see it in their faces, the look of pure love.

She is lucky enough to have these two loving siblings who care for her more than their own lives but she doesn't know whether she should feel grateful or annoyed by it.

Olivia didn't know how long she spends in Kelvin's car, she just knows that when they reach her apartment, she is surprised by a huge bouquet of roses sitting on her doorstep.

"What is this?" She asks curiously.

They didn't answer but they laugh.

When she opens it she sees her face in the white lace of the ribbon, and a card under the rose.

"The flower isn't from us, we put it here," Kelvin answers trying to sound innocent.

"It is a gift that I want you to see every day and take care of yourself, this is all for a little time, I know for sure."

"You are right." Olivia nods starting to feel courageous.

"And the flowers are a promise that we will be here anytime you need us." And without giving any explanation and giving her another kiss on her head, Tracy hugs her.

She slowly opens the rose and starts to cry, it is just a simple flower arrangement but now she doesn't have any feeling in her body anymore, she remembers when Kin usually gets her flower without missing a day was it all for the day he will leave her.
